We had the good fortune of connecting with Dieadrea Mullen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dieadrea, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success as an Author is leaving a legacy for my daughters.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Becoming an Author has allowed me to share my stories to so many others. People want to hear from someone that has experienced, and come through something. My proudest moment was seeing my first book “Emotional Decisions” actually published and my daughter’s being proud of their Mom. My mother telling everyone at her Church that I wrote a book. I started with being chosen as part of a Pastor I know, summer post on Facebook. She asked who’s ready to write and only 20 people would be chosen. I was so excited, I thought “this is really happening” there is no turning back. I want people to know, to never be ashamed of your life story, someone needs to hear it. I write from life experiences, which has caused me to launch, Live Write Help. You live your life, write about it, and it helps others. My story, this shy little girl from Mississippi has come out of her shell. She is now a best selling Author, business owner and a woman of faith and prayer.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
During the week we would visit the Biscuit Bar downtown Dallas. Music hall at fair park to catch a Broadway play or musical. Trinity Groves for dinner at Betos and pick up dessert from the Cake Bar. Take a visit to the Bishop Arts District, and end with a visit to the Botanical Gardens.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I thank my Dad (Rest his soul) for instilling in me the importance of reading/studying at such a young age. Reminding me of what was in me and to be bold to release it. My mother for supporting anything that I have done. My spiritual leaders Pastor’s Anthony & Felicia Wesley for teaching the Word of God, allowing me to use the gift of prayer that God has chosen me to do. A young lady that told me years ago, after sharing some of my life with her “you should write a book”. All other friends, family and other connections, too many to mention as I don’t want to leave anyone out.
