Meet Resheta “Nic” | Fashion designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Resheta “Nic” and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Resheta “Nic”, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is to keep going and never give up! There are times when I feel overwhelmed and those are the times that I have to understand to put myself and health first . I allow myself to have me time and then get back on my journey. If you do not take care of yourself then you will most likely crash and burn. Keep your mind, body and soul healthy and stay motivated. The only way to keep going is to take care of yourself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Growing up we really didn’t have much . Sometimes my pants would flood and I didn’t want to be embarrassed at school so I thought of different ways to make them longer. I found a needle and thread in my grandmas room and started playing with it and taught myself how to hand sew and then I started sewing holes I had in my clothes. I played with jeans and turned them Into a top being funny not knowing at a young age that I would actually grow to be a talented designer. Three years ago I taught myself to sew using a sewing machine and from there I became unstoppable. It wasn’t easy but I did it . If I didn’t get something right I kept doing it until I perfected my craft. I didn’t give up on myself. Yes some days I cried because I got frustrated but I kept pushing. I honestly believe anyone can do anything as long as they try and keep at it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend to come down for a week I would actually look up fun events and most likely visit downtown Dallas because there is always something fun to do downtown. They have great restaurants and tourists sites to visit. I like true man because they have great bands that come to play live and their Cajun food is amazing . It’s the perfect spot

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a special thanks to my supporters. They have spread my business around so much and allowed me to gain more loyal customers just by word of mouth. I want to say it is true that strangers support you and show love more than someone you’ve known your entire life. I just want them all to know they are very much appreciated and that they are my motivation. Just to know that someone actually cares and actually adores what you do is what touches a persons heart the most
