We had the good fortune of connecting with Lesia Mcclure and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lesia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started a business for women deserving of the best. Women are nurturing by nature but at times forget to treat theirselves to the best. I want women to feel like the queens they are in best of best clothing and jewelry!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of being a self taught designer and boutique owner. I did not get the chance to go to school for design but by the grace of God I was able to learn. I feel the biggest challenge just like anything in this world is not giving up on myself. In many spaces in the fashion world people may try to make you feel as if you don’t belong but let me tell you confidence leads you into rooms before anything else. I want people to take from my journey with Crown’D Fashions that you deserve the best in life. If you want the best fashion,get it! If you want to go after your dreams, set the plan,grab a hold of Gods hands and go for it!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love a good brunch spot for mimosas! Also rooftop vibes for lunch and catch a fashion show or a good sale at the mall!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom, biggest supporter, thank you for letting me use your closet to practice up on my design skills growing up! You have gave me the creative space I needed and sacrificed some of your wardrobe in process! Love you!
