Meet Judy Nitzinger | Photographer & Commercial Real Estate Salesperson

We had the good fortune of connecting with Judy Nitzinger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Judy, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Growing up with an artistic father more or less guided me into an artistic world. I’ve always loved all forms of visual and performing arts. I’ve worked in the corporate world while pursuing my artistic endeavors and felt a bit trapped knowing I needed to be a good provider. Now that I’m much older now and seeing years pass so quickly, it’s very important to feed my artistic needs.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have shot concerts, performed interviews of individual musicans for music magazines and some of my photos have been published in books. I take my work personally. I work to capture the emotion and personality of the artist to deliver the feeling of the moment. Over the years, I learned a lot as I went along. Yes, there were mistakes, but I realize those are learning experiences. Other people will forget those mistakes so you deliver more and better work. Keep moving forward!

In my later years, I find peace in shooting the great outdoors. Nature is quite different from the rock stage and both require different abilities. Both are rewarding. I love seeing shots of my work enlarged on canvas.

Of course, my most valued photos are of family. Life brings changes and I love my life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Fort Worth, Texas. There is a lot of culture here. I’d take my friend to the museums, to see local musicians perform, the Botanic Garden, the Japanese Garden and of course, local restaurants. If there is a local art festival, that would also be on the list.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As always, I credit my late father, Harrold Zoch, for a lifetime of inspiration and support for my photography. Knowing he was proud of me all along has encouraged me to be my best. Although, I have never reached his level of talent it is something to strive for. His photography work is most amazing!

My husband, John Nitzinger, a bonified gold ablum rock star, has been behind me with his encouragement and praise. Someone with this level of artistic ability standing by me with total openness to my creativity gives me boundless fuel to forge on.

My daughter has been my muse over the years when I was a dancer and as I began my photography work. We actually danced together in the same dance troupe!
