We had the good fortune of connecting with Waylon Senn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Waylon, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for your children?
As parents and owners of a small family business, we feel it is important to bring our children along with us in every aspect of what we do. We show them the daily responsibilities in the field, as well as in the office. They are involved in our dream so that we can show them that their dreams are not too big nor too small and to always follow their hearts.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We started out extremely small with no budget or idea of what we were doing but we went out of our way to handle each client’s needs with individual care and attention. By getting to know our clients, their families, and their dogs we are able to treat them as members of our own family. By doing so, our client base grew and we retained our clientele for extended periods of time and have had many clients return to us after trying other companies. We have had to adjust pricing and our service area on occasion as the need arose and that’s been a challenge but we always maintain our standards. Most recently, we welcomed a major public dog park as a part of the Dog Gone family. That has been our proudest moment thus far and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Being that we live and operate in Fort Worth we would love to show off all the great restaurants and hang outs of the historic Stockyards along with the Water Gardens of down town, and close out the week with a tour of the White Settlement Civil War Museum and our favorite fishing spot on Lake Weatherford.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many great books, mentors, pod casts and teachings, but our faith in Christ has helped lead us through the most troubling of times and blessed us with our success.
