The idea for Black Dollar Records was inspired by my early exposure to reading and staying informed, particularly during my time living with my aunt. My passion in learning led me to discover the history of Tulsa Oklahoma’s Black Wall Street in the 1920s, where i was inspired by the thriving black-owned communities business practices & culture in the face of racism and segregation.
