We had the good fortune of connecting with Zsari d’Javanneh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zsari, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My ultimate career goal is to create a global community of creatives through our 127 Creative Houses. These spaces will promote creative skill-building across various facets of the creative industry. Unlike typical studio or event spaces, my vision is to establish multiple locations that offer both programming and coworking/studio spaces for teens and adults.

On December 31, 2020, I had a revelation that, while I am a creative myself, I have greater satisfaction from seeing other creatives develop their skills and showcase them to the world. I realized that I would prefer to be the platform or space that provides these opportunities. This revelation led to the concept of opening a summer or school-year incubator creative program for aspiring artists and creatives aged 13-21 once we have our space. This program would help them develop their skills in their chosen fields with the support of our Vision 127 team. After the program, high school students would have the opportunity to apply for college scholarships or grants to start their own businesses, that we’d fund.

As a creative, I understand that talented individuals are often undervalued, leading to financial disparities and a lack of recognition. My goal is for creatives to know their worth and think strategically about turning their hobbies into businesses. By providing the necessary tools early on, they can avoid the struggles of figuring it out later in life. I aspire to be known as a multipassionate influencer who is not afraid to promote being multipassionate. I want to be recognized for my authenticity in sharing my journey, generosity and providing solutions that inspire creatives to pursue their passions in a practical and effective way.

I also aim to expand Vision 127 globally, with a particular focus on Africa within 10+ years. I’m considering South Africa as the starting point for the first 127 Creative House: Africa, since I love their culture. There is an abundance of talent on the continent that deserves recognition, and what they need is a community that encourages and helps them develop their potential. I am aware that this will be a long and costly journey, but every step I take now is geared toward achieving the establishment of multiple 127 Creative Houses and creating a community that nurtures and supports amazing talent through our Vision 127 ecosystem. Professionally, I would also love to be invited to more events as a speaker, do a TED Talk (which is out of my comfort zone), and continue pursuing my passion projects through Vision 127. Staying creative in my own way inspires me to help and inspire others.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Vision 127 Artists, founded on January 27th, 2023, is a creative development and events company driven by the significance of the number 127—an angel number symbolizing the manifestation of dreams into reality. This number holds personal significance for me, even etched onto my wrist as a tattoo. Initially conceived as an artist development and events company focusing on independent artists, our journey took a turn after hosting the inaugural 127 Creative Brunch in Dallas in June 2023. It became evident that the resonance laid more in my discussions about being a multipassionate creative.

Our mission is to foster opportunities for individuals to explore their passions, nurture personal growth, foster creativity, and engage in community through our dynamic programs, content, and events, all guided by our motto: “Do what you love and pay it forward.” As a creative myself, I realized my entrepreneurial spirit couldn’t be contained within the boundaries of a typical job. Moving from New Jersey to a new city in December 2022 wasn’t just about a change of scenery; it was about seizing the opportunity to transform dreams into reality while still honoring the work I love.

My creative journey began in 2017 with explorations in various physical product ventures like jewelry, skincare, and custom branding materials, including t-shirts. However, I found none of them truly fulfilling, as they were hobbies I attempted to turn into businesses without envisioning a long-term commitment. Nevertheless, over time, I’ve cultivated a diverse skill set spanning different industries, which now allows me to offer guidance and mentorship to fellow creative entrepreneurs. This realization laid the foundation for the creative development aspect of my business.

Throughout my journey, I encountered challenges primarily rooted in self-doubt and a struggle to embrace my multipassionate nature. There was a time when I felt conflicted about having numerous interests, fearing it would lead to indecisiveness and inconsistency. Yet, I’ve come to understand the value of embracing my multipassionate identity, and it’s this insight that fuels my mission with Vision 127 Artists. My aim is to provide support and opportunities for individuals who, like my past self, are navigating their own multipassionate journeys. I envision a community where individuals feel empowered rather than judged, where they can develop their skills and find inspiration in the collective creativity of others. Through the 127 Fam community, both locally in Dallas and beyond, I aspire to cultivate a space where creatives can thrive and grow together.

As we enter our second year, I’ve witnessed remarkable growth, both within our community and personally. Initially uncomfortable with public speaking and being in front of the camera, the positive feedback on my recent endeavors has bolstered my confidence significantly. It all began with our premiere show, “When Creators Connect,” aimed at spotlighting creatives across various stages of their journey. My vision for this show is to celebrate creatives at every phase, recognizing their efforts and contributions along the way, rather than waiting for some elusive moment of “success.” Additionally, as we continue to build our community, I’m excited to introduce more inspiring and entertaining content and events for creatives and locals alike. *We have some unique and enjoyable experiences in store.*

My journey is a testament to the power of faith and vision. Despite facing financial constraints, staffing challenges, and moments of doubt, I’ve remained steadfast in pursuing the meaningful vision bestowed upon me by God. I recall feeling uncertain about the “in-between” stages of my career journey, but today, I’m embracing the person I’ve always aspired to become. Feedback and suggestions from creatives are always welcome, as I strive to ensure that everything we do at Vision 127 serves a purpose and benefits our community, whether through interviews, workshops, or events.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To be honest, I may have been living here almost 2 years, I feel like I haven’t been many places other than the tourists areas, But I used to live in Uptown, so I loved taking the Trolley and visiting Klyde Warren Park. My favorite cozy coffee shop is The Meteor in Design District, its close by but also very cozy and the people there are friendly.

I’ve tried many restaurants but I’m kind of a food critic because my mom is a chef and apparently my standards are too high lol However, my favorite restaurants or places I order often is Si Lom Thai and Rusty Taco (fried shrimp tacos with habanero salsa!)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents, Jenneh Brooks and Van Delaney, whose interests in DIYing, music, and art have shaped everything I am and do. Through Vision 127, I’m working to create opportunities that they weren’t able to pursue, even if it was just a hobby.

A heartfelt shoutout to my close circle for their unwavering support and feedback throughout my creative journey, both before and after my move to Dallas. Their encouragement keeps me motivated, especially from those not in the creative industry.

And lastly, a profound thank you to God for blessing me with creative talents, an ambitious mind, and a heart filled with gratitude, humility, and authenticity.
