We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Campana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, how do you define success?
Success, to me, is defined by the feeling of fulfillment that one derives from the work that they do. Feeling like your work is making a difference is someone else’s life and bettering the lives of those in your community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Milestones Chiropractic is unique because we are the only chiropractic clinic in the Flower Mound area that utilizes the Gonstead System. Most chiropractic techniques have no formal methods of analyzing patients to determine the cause of a patient’s condition and how to address it. This is why Gonstead chiropractic is known as the gold standard of chiropractic. We use a five-step criteria to analyze our patients each time they come in for an adjustment. This system enables us to identify the cause of a patient’s problem and deliver the adjustments needed to produce effective results.

Starting our business was not easy. Chiropractic offices are found on nearly every corner in Flower Mound and there is a lot of competition. Additionally, many people have not heard about Gonstead chiropractic, therefore, the biggest challenge has been educating our community about what we do and how we differ from every other chiropractor in our area. We have found using social media, particularly Instagram, to be a great educational tool to explain the Gonstead difference to our audience. This was a bit of a challenge in the beginning as my business partner and I were not the most skilled at using social media, but we have improved since opening our practice.

We want the world to know that there is so much more to chiropractic than just treating neck and back pain. While chiropractic is extremely effective at treating those conditions, that is not all it is useful for. The nervous system is the master system of the body that controls all of its functions. The chiropractic adjustment is used to restore the nervous system to its optimal function. When this is achieved, the body functions better in all aspects including digestion, immune response, improved energy levels, better balance, improved respiratory functioning, healthier pregnancies, and so much more!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I absolutely love exploring the city as I grew up in Houston and feel at home when I am around the hustle and bustle of city life. I have lived in the Dallas area for the last four years and have enjoyed getting to know the area.

I am someone who absolutely loves museums! I would take my friend to explore many of the museums in downtown Dallas including the Sixth Floor Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. I would also want her to check out the Dallas Aquarium and Dallas Zoo.

My favorite coffee spot in the DFW area is Pax & Beneficia coffee. While they do not have a location near downtown, I would absolutely take my friend to one of their locations. The atmosphere is wonderful, their staff is friendly, and they make delicious coffee!

One of my favorite places to grab brunch in downtown Dallas has to be Sixty Vines! Their avocado eggs benedict is absolutely incredible!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The road to becoming a chiropractor is a long one that takes many years of dedication to education. I would like to thank all of my mentors, especially those within the Gonstead chiropractic community, for always making themselves available to myself as well as all other students who practice using the Gonstead System. The Gonstead Clinical Studies Society does wonderful work in providing students with mentorship and seminars so that they feel supported both while in school and out in practice. If I had not found the Gonstead community while I was in chiropractic school, I would not be where I am today.

I would also like to thank my family for all of the support they have given me throughout my educational journey. You all pushed me to keep going even during the difficult times and I will be forever grateful.
