We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracee Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracee, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Life is inherently risky and I believe risk taking is necessary for growth and can be life’s biggest teacher. No matter the outcome, we grow through the process and become more resilient and confident throughout our career and daily lives. Since I was a young child, I have always been known to take risks and often times even considered impulsive. I embrace and accept those characteristics about myself. When I act on impulse and/or take a risk, I’m acting as my true authentic self and by trusting my initial instinct, the outcome has either been favorable or has taught me a lesson. Remember, when taking risks, you don’t loose: You either win or learn a lesson.

My transition from Corporate America to now a full-time Entrepreneur was a huge risk and the benefits has definitely outweighed the cons. It has change the trajectory of my life, as well as, my family. Taking risks pushes you outside of your comfort zone and if never pushed outside of being comfortable, one might never achieve their goals and aspirations, which results in a disservice to yourself and those who believe in your potential. I’ve always had the mindset, that you never know unless you try and that is honestly how I live my life, both personally and professionally. The key to business and career success is playing offense & becoming great at taking risks. Without risk, there is no innovation and you will find yourself living with regrets. I rather live my life and teach my children that going after your heart desires by taking risks, is a life worth lived.

In business, as in life, the greatest risk is doing nothing!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Master Permanent Make-Up Trainer & proud owner of T. Alexandria Medical Spa, 5 star Google rated, a luxury spa located in the heart of downtown Dallas, where we help individuals define their own definition beauty. We offer an array of non-surgical cosmetic services with the goal of making you feel comfortable in your own skin. I am most proud of the relationships my staff and I have built over the years with our dedicated clients as they are the reason my organization has been such a success. T. Alexandria has become a household name in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and I am grateful for its notoriety in my community. Although we are at a level of success currently, it hasn’t been without trials and tribulations. As with any business, start up costs, funding, financial maintenance and sustainment of a business, was definitely a hurdle we had to overcome.

The difficulties I faced when first starting my business has led me to my other brand, Everyone’s Favorite Nurse (EFN): Business Strategist to entrepreneurs and business owners. To date, I have helped over 100 businesses, not just spa professionals, grow their business from increase in sales, business credit, sales strategy & marketing, which has led me to creating my latest book, How To Build A Loyal Tribe and 90 Days Until Forever: Faith, Family, Fitness & Finance Journal.

Through consistency, dedication to our mission at T. Alexandria and EFN, we have been able to sustain both organizations and continues to bring forth the latest and greatest services. Throughout this journey, I have learned that being disciplined, primarily not when motivated, is the key to longevity and success as an entrepreneur or anything you encounter in life. Remaining disciplined on difficult days will set you apart from the rest and will definitely help you in sustaining what you started.

I would love for the world to know and understand that anything great can be achieved when you are passionate, willing to take risks, continue to learn from others and put in the work on a consistent basis.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dallas has so much to see and experience, you just have to be eager & adventorous enough to discover what our city has to offer. I am a music fanatic, ask anyone who knows me, so I would definitely take my friend to a Karaoke bar for us to sing and dance our hearts out. One of my favorite places to eat and relax is Zatar Lebanese Tapas & Bar. The food is amazing and they have awesome hookah and cocktails. Two places that I will be visiting soon and have heard great reviews about are XOXO and RH Rooftop Restaurant. Walking through the streets of Deep Ellum is also an area I would love for my friend to embark upon. Simply walking the streets of Deep Ellum and exploring the restaurants and the bars is an experience in itself.

I would like to thank the support of my family, friends and dedicated clients over the years for continuing to support me in all of my endeavors.
