We had the good fortune of connecting with Tessa Breeden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tessa, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is my passion. It’s very cliché to say that if you do what you love, that you won’t work a day, but this business has shown me that it’s absolutely possible to create that reality for yourself! My goal is to help people and I knew that I didn’t want to go back to school to become a nurse or to get into the medical field. When I started coaching clients, my goal was to create an impact more than anything else. I’ve lead with my heart in a lot of my decision making and it’s opened my eyes to so many possibilities.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been in fitness for 10 years and have been coaching for the past 3 years.

This has been a long time coming, because I never thought I’d actually become a full time fitness coach. Prior to Be Bold Fitness, I ran a social media marketing agency based in Las Vegas and it was really challenging. I didn’t feel as though the path I was on, was in alignment with where I wanted to go in life but I didn’t know how to make the transition. In 2019, I decided to pursue my love of fitness and started training clients both in group fitness and one on one. I ultimately realized that I had to get out of marketing because the love that I had for helping people was so immense. During COVID, I up and moved to Texas so that I could find new opportunities in the fitness space and was teaching at multiple studios and working for corporate group fitness. I didn’t enjoy working for a corporate studio that was limiting what and how I was able to serve clients. It was very cookie cutter and I felt the need to do more than just basically read off of a script.

It wasn’t easy to decide to pursue fitness full time, because at first, it was hard to get financially stable and to find my groove having no referral network. I finally decided to transition online and have been expanding my business and my network ever since. I’ve learned that sometimes you have to take the risk. It’s going to be tough, but if you feel like you’ve finally found something worth fighting for, I’d say, go for it.

I’m a hopeless romantic and I think I bring that into my business as well. I want people to be happy and I want them to feel the same way that I did when I found fitness. I truly just want to teach people how to be the best versions of themselves so that they can live fulfilling lives!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family is my #1 support system. From the day that I told them that I didn’t want a traditional 9-5 career, they fully supported every move I made. They have been there for the good times and the bad and are constantly giving me feedback. I’ve even convinced my dad to be one of my clients and he absolutely crushes it!
