We had the good fortune of connecting with Taurian Witt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taurian, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My end goals have changed so much, over the past several years, due to living life and experiencing all sort of detours along the way.

When I graduated from high school in 2009, my end goal was to see the world and to start a new, enriching life in a bigger, more opportunistic city away from my home. Then, when I graduated in 2016, from the university I attended, my goal was to break into the industry and to find a great job that would allow myself to grow my skills and gain experience.

By the time I earned my second degree in 2019 from a private college, my vision about things changed drastically and I yearned to start my own creative business where I could support myself but also work as an independent artist and designer.

Afterwards, I realized that deep down, I just wanted to be happy with what I do professionally and privately–and because of how much I’ve struggled, I’ve been unable to achieve both of those goals yet.

My end goal has always been to have all of my personal artistic goals that I have for myself completed–but I believe that my end goal nowadays is to just live life where I can look back and feel proud that I did things my way and that I relentlessly tried to make my dreams a reality.

I want to write. I want to draw. I want to make films. I want to create and be able to do it wholeheartedly and abundantly. It’s so easy to be caught up in all of the insecurities about yourself and where you stand in life–but my end goal is to be happy with how I’ve become to be, as a person and a creative.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would suggest Hunky’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers in the Oak Lawn district and the Dallas Arboretum in the White Rock Lake area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my shoutout to the people who believed in me and continue to do so wholeheartedly.
