We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamill Acker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamill, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal for me is to create a family owned business that I can pass down to my kids. The goal is to franchise my home inspection company within the next 3 to 5 years and make it a national brand

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe what sets my company apart from the others as my attention to detail, the wide variety of services that I offer and my relentless pursuit to make my customers happy. I believe I got to where I am today because of my pursuit of excellence. I’m always trying to do a better job and give my clients more. Getting to this point wasn’t easy. I’ve made plenty of sacrifices along the way. Long work days, limited sleep, etc. I think I’ve learned that Rome wasn’t built in a day I just have to focus on adding a few blocks to my kingdom each day and I will eventually have the kingdom I want to leave behind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a tough one for me because I’m not native to Dallas. I’ve been here for 20 years but I’m a homebody. I like live music so I would probably try to find someplace to listen to live R&B. If it’s football season I would definitely try to catch some of the local high school or college football games

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
That’s easy, my wife. When I decided to leave corporate America to start the business she supported me 100%. She picked up the slack as it pertains to managing a lot of things as a pertains to our family. We have three small kids in the house so that comes with a lot. This allowed me to do every inspection that came my way while learning new skill sets.
