We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Barnes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, how do you think about risk?
I think we all have potential in what we do, what we are faced with in our lives. But I don’t think we reach our true potential, our highest potential, unless we step outside of the comfort and routine of what we know. I’m ok stepping out of my comfort zone because I believe it has led me here. Without doing that, without risks, there’s little opportunity for change…to make things better for us and those around us.
What should our readers know about your business?
I started Verity Benefits Group in 2019 with a single goal in mind, to make sure that our clients are treated like family. Health insurance is such a complex subject that I wanted to make sure we provided a seamless, transparent view to remove some of the stress surrounding healthcare and health benefits. By doing this, we provide the highest level of care and go above what many in our industry often provide. Standing behind our brand is the single most important description of who we are. Verity is defined as “the quality or state of being true” and that is not only a strong personal characteristic I believe in but it’s what Verity is built on.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ohhhh…so many places to go! Some of my loves of Dallas: A nice day by the pool at Dallas Athletic Club A phenomenal dinner at Ocean Prime or if something more casual, Manny’s in Lakewood For a late night cocktail, Knife on Mockingbird Lane A fun day in Fort Worth if time allows And to top it off, some rolled ice cream on Lower Greenville
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My fiance, Sean Goff. Sean is an Executive Managing Director of Project Management at CBRE. He has been without a doubt the single, most constant line of support for me. He celebrates with me on good days, cheers me on through difficult days, listens to me when I just want to share a voice on business strategies, failures, successes…and of course offers advice when I need a professional opinion. Him, our kids, and my family have provided endless support and I’m forever thankful for that.
