We had the good fortune of connecting with Shreena Shah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shreena, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
From my early childhood, the society, school and environment programmed me with the belief that success meant good grades, great job, own a house and live by status quo. I worked in the corporate world for a couple of years but back of my mind I knew I wanted to do something different and I was not cut for a 9 to 5 job.
I always had passion for baking and explored making new desserts from my teenage years. A few years back when i was thinking what to do, it struck to me that nothing better than following my passion for baking and desserts.
That is when Sinful Temptations By Shreena was born. Sinful Temptations came together when family and friends enjoyed my homemade fusion desserts that I put together for a tasting session.
At Sinful Temptations we create fusion desserts, shot glass desserts, tea cakes. cakes, flavored nuts and many more items. We work with clients and customize to their requested flavors, colors and theme.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At Sinful Temptations we create fusion desserts, shot glass desserts, tea cakes. cakes, flavored nuts and many more items. We work with clients and customize to their requested flavors, colors and theme. What sets us apart is our unique flavors and our unique shot glass desserts. Most exciting for me is visioning a flavor and look of the item and creating it. I believe without challenges it is not possible to accomplish a whole lot so I look at challenges in a positive light that helps me exercise my creative muscle and allows me to reach out to seek mentorship. Some of the lessons learnt are being humble, good listener, being patient, solution oriented, open minded and keeping on learning. Our brand is marrying the client’s idea and our creativity to put together delicious fusion desserts . Our brand keeps alive the traditional indian sweets in the minds of the millennials by fusioning them with western classic desserts.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would plan out visits to
The Stock Yards of Fort Worth,
The Downtown Dallas Museums,
For food there are many restaurants around but the one place I would definitely take them to is the Fun Pizza Grill for some indianized pizzas.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest support system, my backbone is my family to push me to live my dream. i am grateful for my husband for always being there, believing in me, have faith in me to pursue my passion. Without him I would have not dared to take this step. My daughter is very imaginative and creative, so gives me ideas and pushes me to create new things. Also I cannot thank a good friend Kiran for also being my support system. Without his help I would not be where I am.
