We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherelle Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sherelle, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My Faith and Trust in GOD is the most important factor behind both my personal success and the success of my brand. Being a Christian has taught me life principles as it relates to my moral fiber as well as my LOVE of both myself and others. I intentionally and deliberately intend to live my life with great character and consideration of others. I realize that I should extend the same treatment to others that I expect for myself. My purpose on this earth is to be a light to those who may need it. I am also open to receiving that same light in areas that I need it from others as well. I believe that GOD orders my steps on a daily basis and points me in the direction I should take. I also believe that it is impossible to LOVE a GOD that I cannot see yet not LOVE those I am in contact with everyday. Therefore I move throughout life with an overwhelming consciousness of others while being ready to serve them in any capacity I can to encourage and empower them to become the BEST versions of themselves which will directly influence them to walk in their GOD given purpose in life. My Success happens through my ability to encourage others to become Successful. My Faith and Trust in GOD fuels it all!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been a Corporate Instructor for 15years now at Bank of America. I am also the Founder and Visionary of a 501c3 Non-Profit organization called Find Your RESILIENCE Inc that encourages and empowers females to Learn from their Past, Live Today and Pursue Purpose. I am extremely proud of my success and work in both of these businesses. Having a tenured career at a Fortune 500 Company where I facilitate New Hires is both fulfilling and rewarding because I get to be one of the 1st persons to directly impact the success and perspective of those beginning their career with the company. My impact and community involvement with my organization allows me to live out my GOD given calling of encouragement and empowerment of others. My LOVE for making a tangible impact on the lives of others come as a result of growing up with much adversity in my life. I found a way to overcome all of it as a result of my Faith and Trust in GOD and the encouragement of others along the way. I am therefore committed to giving that same encouragement and impact to others. I let them know, “If I can overcome all that I have endured, all of my bad decisions and all of my life lessons, SO CAN YOU!” I want my brand as a Professional, Business Owner and “Girl next door” to reveal to some and remind to others that no matter what happens in life, the power of our personal trajectory is in OUR HANDS and NOT OTHERS! YOU CAN DO IT! Your success begins with the decision to intentionally and deliberately think about and move toward your PURPOSE in Life!!!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This won’t be hard because my 3 sisters visited me prior to the Pandemic. We LOVE to have a good time when we get together. I live in Frisco, TX so we started off by visiting Legacy Hall in the Legacy West area of Plano, TX. We had a delicious dinner at Reunion Tower as it rotated giving us a few of the entire DFW area. During our time together we also visited the Deep Ellum area where we enjoyed local entertainment and Spirits. We had a day of pampering with local makeup artist Keenya Madison with Facetime Makeup and we had a “Sistershoot” (photoshoot) with a local photographer, Leonard Williams. We got some retail therapy in the Galleria and Stonebriar Malls and went to a women’s empowerment event hosted by Jackie Robinson of She BOSS Unlimited. One of the BEST local hangouts is The Daiquiri Shoppe in Carrollton where we had some New Orleans inspired food and daiquiris with inhouse DJ KevyKev who provided some great music and fun. We topped off our weekend with some Spiritual Inspiration at The Potter’s House Dallas with Bishop TD Jakes.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In this article I would like to Shoutout my Teacher, Provider, Encourager, #1 Supporter and LOVE OF MY LIFE, my Hubby of 26 years, Sean Reed. My husband is a 100% disabled veteran who fought on the front line during Desert Storm to protect the freedom of our Nation. He is and has always been a Strong Leader in our household and has always set the tone in our home that says, “If you Change Your Mind you can Change Your Life”. This quote speaks the sentiment of how powerful our thoughts and mental considerations are. It also teaches us that if we choose to intentionally change our mindset about certain things our entire life can be transformed. As a family we have all read the book, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. This book explains the importance of the Law of Attraction as well as the Law of Reciprocity. The Law of Attraction states that my life will attract whatever I focus on with my thoughts. The Law of Reciprocity states that whatever energy I put out in the universe through thought or action will manifest in my life. So this book reminds me that I can control the direction and success of my life by the decisions I make through thought and action. My husband has led this culture in our household and it has transformed my life.
