We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelby Beckman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shelby, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I hope I am lucky enough to be able to continue the entrepreneurial path/career until the day I die. My end goal with PowerFit is to grow the brand and make it accessible all over Texas, then expand throughout the southeast. I hope PowerFit is the springboard for me to continue to create new businesses or help other small businesses grow and become profitable. I have a major drive to learn about a multitude of industries, because why not? I love learning and hope that I am fortunate enough to continue the ups and downs of entrepreneurship!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is TRULY a one of a kind boutique fitness studio, literally we are the only studio in the state of Texas offering group fitness classes on Power Plates! I found the concept when I lived in Los Angeles and fell in love with the 30 minute workout. I have tried countless workouts and the Power Plate workouts were always enjoyable. I loved the fact I was able to get a 90 minute workout in 30 minutes. Due to COVID we are not where we need to be, but are hoping we can start this year strong and continue to grow and serve our community and eventually expand. We want to change the way people think and feel about exercise!The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would have never taken the risk to open my fitness studio without the strong support of my family. My parents have always pushed me to follow my heart and have been encouraging in times of doubt. I would not be where I am today without the support of my family and my friends!
