We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sean, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was driven by a mix of passion, necessity, and a desire for independence. I’ve always had a strong interest in the tattoo and tattoo removal industry, which fueled my creativity and problem-solving skills. One of the primary motivators for me was the opportunity to help individuals reclaim their confidence. Many people have tattoos that no longer represent who they are or may feel self-conscious about skin imperfections caused by sun exposure or aging. Being able to offer them a solution that restores their self-esteem and helps them feel like themselves again is incredibly fulfilling.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career in tattoo removal is about much more than just the technical aspect of using a laser, it’s about truly connecting with my clients and understanding their stories. I strive to be more than just a provider, I aim to be a part of the tattoo community. Each tattoo that comes through my doors has a meaning, history, or emotional significance, and I make it a point to delve into those narratives. This connection allows me to approach each removal with empathy and care, ensuring my clients feel understood and supported throughout the process.

One unique aspect of my journey is my experience as an amputee. Living with a unique body has given me a perspective that many may not fully understand. I’ve faced challenges and triumphs, which has made me more attuned to the feelings of those experiencing change or discomfort with their own bodies. This insight helps me create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their decisions and feelings about their tattoos.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Dallas for a week, I’d kick things off with a visit to one of the top-rated BBQ spots, Terry Black’s, to indulge in some authentic Texas brisket and ribs. Afterward, we’d explore the Dallas Arts District, taking our time to wander through the galleries and enjoy the street art. For a relaxing afternoon, we’d grab a drink at one of the many locally owned bars, like Will Call Bar in Deep Ellum, where we could enjoy great craft beers and soak in the lively atmosphere.

In addition to all the great food and beer, I’d make sure we visit historic sites like the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza to learn about the JFK assassination and its impact on the nation. We’d also stroll around Pioneer Plaza to see the famous cattle drive sculptures and perhaps check out the Dallas Aquarium or the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. With a mix of delicious food, rich history, and vibrant culture, I’d ensure my friend experiences the best of what Dallas has to offer!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I want to acknowledge my wife Lexi Gallina. She is my number one supporter, always there to encourage and uplift me through every challenge and triumph. Her unwavering belief in my vision pushes me to strive harder every day, and I truly couldn’t be where I am without her love and support.

I also want to recognize my brother in law, Holden Hassell @ HHH Insurance. His insights and expertise have been essential in guiding me along this path. Collaborating with him has not only been a professional journey but also a personal one, as he encourages me to take risks and pursue new opportunities. His mentorship has been invaluable, and I’m grateful to have him by my side.

Lastly, I’d like to give a shoutout to my friend Travis Chick @ Dallas Tattoo. His leadership qualities and constant motivation have had a profound impact on my life. He inspires me to be the best version of myself and never lets me lose sight of my goals. Travis’s positive energy and encouragement have been a driving force in my entrepreneurial journey, and I’m thankful for his friendship and support.

Together, these individuals and so many more have shaped my path and helped me grow in ways I never imagined. I believe that success is never achieved in isolation; it’s built on the foundation of relationships and support, and I’m lucky to have such amazing people in my corner.
