We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always takin risk since I was little. I grow up in a military family so my father was taken risks while I was growing up. So seeing my father & mother taking risks for there family strengthened who I am. I grew up in a small town in California “Vacaville “. I started doing parties in 83. 16 1/2. Managed my first teen night club in 84. I also had a breakdance group “GBC” & I managed 4 DJ’s. Went to school & had a full time job. It was all about taking risks to see if I could do it. Some ventures were successful some weren’t.
The biggest risk is when I fought for custody for my daughter. I wanted to be a father. I wanted to be there for her. After 3 years of domestic violence with her mom & her family trying to control me. The police not being on my side. The courts even seemed against me. I evan had to go through a Kidnapping with my daughters family taking her for 6 months. I took that risk to be that GREAT father to my daughter. I gave up music, traveling, my own business to go on general assistance. Work a minimum wage job. Go back to school to get a bigger paying job.
My daughter was 2 when it started and got full custody when she was 6 and now she 19 and has graduated from beauty college as a certified aesthetician.
I took that risk to be that man. I took that risk against the odds of a single father. I took that risk when a State that I lived in is a women’s state “Washington”.
I’ve been taking risk all my life to be the person I am today. If you don’t take risks how do you know if you can accomplish anything.
I love taking risks if it’s worth it. To make me a better person, father, business man & owner. Every risk I took I made on my own and lived with each consequence good or bad. If you fail get back up. If you succeed there’s always another risk that my approach you. Now you are better to handle the situation. Risk can build success.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My excitement is that I’m 54 and still relevant. I got here because of hard work. Keeping a good name. Recognizing the true individuals around me. Keeping my contacts up to date and informed. Be a honest individual and giving more away to my clients then other people do.
I overcome all challenges by being positive, prayer and I don’t chase nobody.
I’ve learned that anybody can f*ck you but only you can let that happen. I don’t do that anymore.
I want people to know that Scott Gordon is my brand that can be trusted. If I don’t know the answer, together will figure it out.
I have a big story so just ask me. I’m not that hard to get ahold off.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
