We had the good fortune of connecting with Sacha Whitfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sacha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I woke up one lovely morning getting ready to start my day in property management and thought to myself
“Why not dive into a field where the stakes are as high as my heels and have as much chaos as a reality TV show?”
I also craved independence and the opportunity to shape my own vision. The idea of being able to set my own goals, make strategic decisions, and build something from the ground up was incredibly appealing. I wanted to create a culture and work environment that reflected my values and approach to business.
Certainly, there were practical considerations too—like the potential for financial growth and the chance to work directly with clients. I wanted to build relationships and provide value in a way that felt authentic to me.
In essence, my thought process blended a mix of ambition, creativity, nervousness, and a desire to forge my own path. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but that’s what makes the journey exciting.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a young Black woman stepping into the fascinating world of real estate, I often feel like I’m on a reality show called “Selling Houses and Trying Not to Lose My Mind.” Seriously, my business is built on more than just transactions; it’s about transforming houses into homes and helping people realize their homeownership dreams—preferably without the drama of a surprise home inspection!
What sets me apart? Well, besides my killer taste in décor and a knack for finding the perfect avocado green kitchen—just kidding! It’s my genuine passion for education and empowerment. I like to think of myself as a real estate GPS: I help my clients find the best route through the sometimes-maze-like process of buying or selling a home. My secret sauce is simplifying the jargon and making the experience as delightful as finding a $20 bill in an old coat pocket.
I’m really proud of the community I’ve built. Many of my clients turned friends would probably say I’m the unofficial neighborhood cheerleader. Nothing gives me more joy than handing over the keys to a first-time homebuyer and doing a little happy dance while they try to figure out how the new dishwasher works. Homeownership is a big deal, and I take every opportunity to celebrate those milestones, even if it means crafting an overly ambitious charcuterie board.
Now, let’s talk about how I got here. Let’s just say it wasn’t a stroll through the park—it was more like a marathon with hurdles! I faced my fair share of roadblocks, from self-doubt to gender biases, and navigating a world that’s often more suited for a “family man in a suit” stereotype. But I turned those challenges into steppingstones. I sought out inspiring mentors, leaned hard on my fabulous support squad, and learned that sometimes, the best accessory to success is a solid sense of humor (and a pair of comfy shoes).
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that resilience is like a secret weapon—suit up, because it’s about to get real! Every setback has taught me to bounce back like a rubber band and, at times, laugh through the chaos. If nothing else, I’ve learned that when life gives you lemons, you make a killer lemonade stand—preferably located in a bustling neighborhood where people are looking to buy homes!
So, what do I want the world to know about me and my brand? That I’m the fun, relatable realtor who believes real estate isn’t just about properties; it’s about creating opportunities and breaking barriers. My goal is to make the process enjoyable, enlightening, and, yes, a little entertaining. I’m here to help pave the way for others and maybe throw in some witty banter along the way.
So, grab that zest for life and let’s find you a home that’ll have you saying, “I can’t believe I live here!” And who knows, you might even find your zest for avocado green kitchens too!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, you’re talking to the right lady, Put your seatbelt on….

I would say the first day would be chilled and relaxed, have a girl’s chill day at the house with a nice dinner at one of my Favorite restaurants called Pappadeaux’s. Flights can be so tiring and Id need all energy saved for the next few days!

Brunch is always a much, Common Table has a hip-hop brunch that must see our faces, followed by gracing our presences at a few bars in the deep Ellum area to enjoy a cute cocktail.

Live music or concert at south side ballroom or freeman’s cave is definitely on the list.

Who would say no to a Spa Day at the Joule? Not us!

A trip to Six flags for the adrenaline junkie in us, will be on the list.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I’d like to thank GOD & my family and friends who stood by me during challenging times. Your unwavering support and encouragement have made all the difference, and I truly couldn’t have done it without you.
I also want to give a special shoutout to my fellow realtors, whose camaraderie and motivation have pushed me to continuously strive for excellence. Your insights and shared experiences have been invaluable, making this journey not just about transactions, but about growth and collaboration.
Lastly, I’m immensely grateful to my amazing broker who took the time to train me and instilled in me the skills and confidence I needed to succeed in this industry. Your mentorship has been a guiding light, and I appreciate all the knowledge and wisdom you’ve shared with me.
Thank you all for being an essential part of my story!
