Meet Roshawn Cason | Licensed esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Roshawn Cason and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roshawn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was really everywhere. I have never had a business, I always thought about it. I really did not know the first thing to do. So I really just winged it. I don’t suggest that to anyone. I think at least take a couple of classes and talk to and ask QUESTIONS to business owner that are thriving.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a Licensed esthetician my expertise is hydrating your skin. Bringing nourishment to your skin on a deeper level. Removing dead skin cells. Stimulating newer and healthier cells. What sets me apart is my personality and not treating my clients like a machine. Really listen to their needs and wants and be up front and morally serve my clients.
Im most proud of not giving up when times get rough. It easy to start something, but it’s hard to maintain and finish, (at least for me).
I have worked hard to get to this place mentally. That’s where it starts at. It WAS and IS hard as heck. I want to succeed, I want to be a role model I want to be if not THE best ONE of the best estheticians. I make sure I pray, keep positive energy and cry, Lol yes I cry. I know betters days come. Because of my faith.
Lessons I have learned is to go out side the box. Do something you thought you could never do. Make yourself uncomfortable. Always LISTEN AND LEARN. Never think you know it all.
I want to world to know BenRoe Beauty is on the rise. If you haven’t had the BenRoe Beauty experience, YOU NEED TO! I guarantee it will be a one of a kind.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I can not lie, Restaurants, I love eating, and trying different things to eat. So first we would go to maybe a good brunch spot, we will go to a couple of day parties because I love to dance and I dance good to, Lol. All my friends love to shop, but I don’t, so that will be on the list ( a must) I will sit on the benches and let them shop all day. Most of all we would be getting our bellies full all the time with good food and a few drinks.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give credit to a lot of people. People I can say deserves credit at this moment. My best friend/sister Tonya Kemp that I have been friends with since 3rd grade. She keep me grounded. She gives me advice good or bad. I know if it’s something I don’t like, I know she still is saying it out of love. I also give credit to my cousin Sean Thornton. He has always been a great business and financial man for his self. I can call him and he will get straight down to business and makes me push harder and WILL NOT let me give up!
Last I have to give credit to another one of my Best Friends Sarah Brown she has been in business for herself for over 25 years. I have seen and she has personal talked to me about the high and lowes of business.
I appreciate all 3 of them. Im thankful and blessed to have them in my life.
