We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Soto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Richard, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised by my single father, who worked tirelessly seven days a week to provide me with the best life he could. Despite our financial struggles, his unwavering love and support inspired me to dream bigger and strive for success. I made it my mission to build a successful career in business so that I could repay him by giving him the life he deserved, free from financial worries. My father’s dedication shaped who I am today and the values I stand for.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
VIP Realty is a full-service real estate brokerage with offices across Texas and, more recently, in California. Our extensive experience, expert negotiation skills, and access to the latest property listings give us a significant edge in the market. What I’m most proud of is how we started—building this company from just a few hundred dollars and a lot of determination into a thriving business that delivers results for our clients.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d start by taking my friend to Highland Park for lunch and drinks at Bistro 31, followed by some shopping in Highland Park Village. After that, we’d make our way to downtown Dallas, find a nice patio, share a bottle of Cabernet, and do some people-watching. To cap off the day, we’d head to the gym, where I coach and play basketball with the Be Elite Basketball Club
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father Pete Soto who is now in heaven.
