We had the good fortune of connecting with Raquel Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raquel, what do you attribute your success to?
Making more room for desire and determination and less room for doubt and discouragement. Once I allowed my desire for success to take up more space than my fear of failure, I was able to fuel my vision vehicle with hard work, systems, team building and all the things necessary to drive full speed ahead towards my goals!

Overcoming limiting beliefs, clarifying my vision, and implementing effective systems has collectively been my most important factor behind my personal and professional success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the Founder and CEO of Rocket Med Staffing, a healthcare staffing agency. Rocket Med currently serves the local DFW area and exists to match quality healthcare professionals with quality healthcare facilities; providing personal choice for providers and supplemental staff for facilities.

I love the fact that Rocket Med is a nurse owned staffing agency. I take pride in having over 6 years of clinical experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse behind me as I make decisions that affect the healthcare community. It’s important to me that decision making, innovation, and change be implemented by people who have the experience and perspective in the area that is being served.

Starting my own staffing agency was not an easy venture and continues to present challenges to be overcome, but challenges are just lessons in disguise and springboards for success if handled wisely.

One of the main lessons that I’ve learned and am still learning is to fail forward and to turn the implementation of my insights into the returns of my investments. Keep going and never quit!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to the support, love, and encouragement of my husband and my family. My mother, specifically, provided me with a great example of hard work and success as she tackled owning her own private medical practice and raising me and my two brothers. My family has always maintained a strong physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual support system for me and that is worth its weight in gold as the foundation of my story.

More directly, the partnership efforts of my husband have been a vital component in allowing me to believe in, achieve, and manage my goals. My story would not be successful nor progressive without the care, counsel, and contributions of my family.
