We had the good fortune of connecting with Peyton Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peyton, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I believe consistently checking in with my mind, body and spirit has been extremely beneficial for me in my career. In addition to regular check ins, prioritizing rest and deliberately making downtime in my day has been the most helpful for me in terms of success. I consider it a success to genuinely enjoy what you are doing & being able to avoid burnout. For me, this means not over extending myself and honoring my energy levels and headspace day-to-day. Adapting the mindset that you don’t have to be hustling 24/7 to achieve your goals has been major for me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Oversoul is a business providing healing arts services – Reiki, body work, yoga and meridian based energy work. I work with clients one-on-one in personalized therapeutic sessions and teach these healing modalities to other practitioners/self-healers/students in group classes, workshops and trainings.

I got where I am today by committing to my own healing journey and following my curiosities and passions. Trusting that I am on the right path, and consistently going in the direction my intuition leads me has brought me to such a beautiful place in life – personally and professionally.

It has not always been an easy path, but I find that the more I’m willing to take the leap into the unknown the more things seem to fall divinely into place.

Learning to trust myself and my intuition has been critical In overcoming challenges. There are always ups and downs as a business owner, but trusting yourself and trusting the decisions you make makes it easier to ride the waves without being consumed by them. At the end of the day, only you know what’s best for you. Learning not to outsource your authority to others is so important,

My hope is to empower others to take care of their minds, bodies and and spirits and learn skills to live a happier, healthier, more fulfilled life. To help others realize that we all have the power to overcome and heal the things that ail us mentally, physically and emotionally.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to a yoga class at The Studio in Fort Worth. Have a nice walk on the beautiful Trinity River trails or in the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. The zoo in Fort Worth is also incredible and worth a visit. The Stockyards are always a fun place to take friends visiting from out-of-state, it’s definitely quintessential ‘Texas’ vibes down there. The of course, we would have to eat some BBQ at Angelo’s and get THE BEST beef fajitas in town at Los Asaderos. When in Texas….

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my husband, William, for the continual support on my ever-changing path.
