We had the good fortune of connecting with Olha Kulichenko and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Olha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ever since I was young, I’ve loved body art and tattoos. This love, combined with my desire to make a positive impact in my community, led me to start my own business in the field of permanent makeup. In today’s world, we all wear many hats – we are parents, partners, professionals, and have our hobbies and interests. Balancing all of these roles can be time-consuming.
With my business, I wanted to offer a solution to help people save time in their daily routines. Permanent makeup is a beautiful way to do this, allowing individuals to have more moments for relaxation and to spend with their families. It’s not just about enhancing beauty, but also about giving people the chance to reclaim a bit of their precious time, fostering a deeper connection with the things that truly matter in life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey into the world of permanent makeup was far from easy, but every step of the way helped me become who I am now. My commitment to continuous improvement and learning sets me apart from many others. I am proud to offer my clients not just a service but an entire experience based on professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
There were times when the path to success seemed especially difficult. But I strived to see opportunities where there seemed to be obstacles.
In everything I do, it is important to me to maintain a human quality by approaching each client with an open heart and understanding of their unique needs and desires. I strive to create an atmosphere of trust and comfort where everyone can feel special.
My story is one of constant striving for excellence, learning, and loving what I do. I want the world to know that my brand stands for professionalism, personal touch and sincerity in every gesture.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Even though I only moved to Dallas a year ago, I have already discovered some amazing places that I would love to visit with my best friend.
To start, I would suggest visiting the Dallas Botanical Garden. This place is stunningly beautiful and ideal for walking and relaxing in the fresh air. Then, I’d take him to one of the city’s great art districts, like Deep Ellum, where he can enjoy street art and cozy cafes.
When it comes to food, Dallas has many great restaurants and cafes to offer. We would definitely visit one of the restaurants with traditional Texas cuisine to try real Texas steak or barbecue.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my husband, who has been a pillar of love, understanding, and support throughout this journey. Together, we have navigated numerous highs and lows, but I am thankful to the Divine that all the situations we faced only served to bring us closer and fortify our family bond.
Additionally, I would like to dedicate a heartfelt shoutout to Dale Carnegie, particularly for the empowering phrase from his book “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living”: “If fate hands you a lemon, make lemonade”. This quote has been a beacon of motivation for me, especially during life’s more challenging moments, reminding me to harness adversity and turn it into an opportunity for growth. It is a principle that has guided me well in both personal and professional realms, inspiring resilience and a positive outlook, no matter the circumstance.
