Meet Nikki Baptiste | Co-Owner/Managing Partner/REALTOR

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Baptiste and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikki, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting one’s own business venture is definitely a scary thought, but I knew I wanted to be in a position where I was available to my family and children while they were young. As a Mom, it was absolutely critical to me that I be present at their school functions and field trips, etc and working for myself allowed me to create my own schedule and still be available to my family. As my children got older, it allowed me the flexibility to be able to travel out of state to care for my elderly mother before her passing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been licensed in the state of Texas since 2007 as a real estate professional. Currently, I am co-owner and managing partner of the Local Realty Agency Mid-Cities location, along with my husband, John Baptiste. Our office is an expansion office of Local Realty Agency LLC in Dallas. My previous real estate career had been with a popularly known company, but we were presented with an opportunity to own our own office in the fall of 2023 and leaped at the chance. We are all about helping not only our clients with their real estate needs, but also helping guide and mentor our agents in their careers as well. It is so rewarding to see our clients achieve home ownership while witnessing our agents excel too!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh my, well I’ve had several friends visit DFW lately and we’ve visited a few different places. I usually try to swing by The Cake Bar in Dallas for some yummy treats, we may visit the Fort Worth Zoo or the Fort Worth Stockyards, we may also visit the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington and then swing by Texas Live. If time permits, a play at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters may be on the calendar or visit the African American Museum of Dallas. There are so many wonderful places to visit here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, John, encouraged me to jump back into real estate in 2013, after initially getting licensed in 2007. It was the best decision I’ve ever made! I wish I had jumped back in sooner honestly! We joined forces in 2017 and are currently growing and expanding our services in the Mid Cities (Hurst-Euless-Bedford) area!
My sister, Monique, has been a huge cheerleader and supporter as well as providing valuable insight and recommendations along the way! Also, my late Mother, encouraged me every step of the way and was so always so proud!
Lastly, I have to thank Nancy and Richard, who first introduced me to the world of real estate during my high school years. As a young impressionable teen, I was exposed to so many avenues of the real estate world because of the opportunity they afforded me.
