We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Rupp and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michelle, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Excellence in customer service is a top value. It is essential to make sure clients and potential clients feel valued. Providing superior customer service, unfortunately, is not normal in the marketplace anymore. When clients feel valued, seen, and heard, they remember it. Treating people with respect and kindness is a core principle at Memorable Results Media, my service-based business. I want those I interact with to walk away feeling valued and good about themselves.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Memorable Results Media helps business owners get earned positive publicity in their local media. I have an extensive background in local television as a producer and on-air talent. As an EMMY award-winning journalist, I love sharing other people’s stories.
After leaving broadcast, I entered corporate communications, marketing, and PR. Valuable experience, but I wanted more. I’d created a television show, why not create my own company?!
Memorable Results Media works with businesses nationwide pitching and creating newsworthy events. I have successfully pitched businesses to television and radio in the DFW area, as well as Phoenix, Little Rock, and parts of the northeast. Social media is a terrific tool for publicity. However, with only a small percentage of followers seeing a post, it is vital businesses tap into their local media for a larger reach. Data shows there are still plenty of people who watch local news. Utilizing this resource can be a treasure trove for business owners promoting and providing viewer benefit through on-air segments.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My bestie and I would explore some of the fabulous areas of Dallas! The Arts District, and Design District, run across SMU’s campus one morning and then through Turtle Creek Park the next. Of course, there would be plenty of shopping and a trip to Frisco — an area I adore.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents, who were small business owners, taught me anything is possible.
My sister, who is an entrepreneur, dared to ask her big sister, ‘Hey, what was that dream you had about starting your own company?’
