We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Guinn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was to create platforms that were positive supported and engaging as well as inclusive and multicultural. I wanted to create spaces where everyone had a voice and where they could feel safe..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My artistic approach blends social work with entertainment, creating a vibrant platform for energetic engagement and meaningful connections, which distinguishes me from others in the field. In a landscape often dominated by social media trends rather than genuine interactions, I have navigated the challenges of building an audience by offering something truly unique and empowering. Over the past 25 years, I have learned the importance of continually finding innovative ways to engage people, ensuring that I deliver on my promises as a promoter, and maintaining a respectful and timely atmosphere as a host. This commitment to engagement and integrity has become the hallmark of my brand, and it is what I take the greatest pride in.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was visiting in town, the first place, I would ask him to go would be mud hook, coffee, and bar in Cedar Hill located in Uptown Village. It is music, food, fun and an amazing outdoor patio. They also have one of the largest outdoor open mics in the country for the last five years.. then I would have him visit the Dock bookshop in Fort Worth, which has the largest collection of African-American Asper in the state of Texas and also host music poetry guest speakers, book clubs, they have everything and most of it is affordable and a great experience. And then I would tell him to stop by wellspring on Main, which is run by Crete, Texas. It offers an art, gallery, music and.more. Also, I would have them visit Allegory Kitchen and bar located in Grand Prairie. It is a truly upscale intimate dining experience for the ages another one of the spots that I also partner with for advance entertainment. And finally, I will have him stop over at the far best theater in Mansfield, which host all things, art poetry stage plays, and true inspirational open mic night, and is sponsored by the Mansfield commission for the arts

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to take a moment to recognize Valerie Kelso, the founder and CEO of the Purple Light Touch Foundation. This organization plays a crucial role in supporting women who have experienced domestic violence. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the New Friend New Life organization, which provides vital services for women rescued from sex trafficking. As a social worker, I find these two leading organizations to be a significant source of inspiration, motivating me to incorporate social awareness into my entertainment platform and community events.
