We had the good fortune of connecting with Maggie Perrotta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maggie, what do you attribute your success to?
There’s no shortage of hair removal salons in the DFW and what I believe makes mine just as successful or more so than the big-name franchises is the culture I’ve created within the innerworkings of my brand. The simple answer is a happy work environment. A successful business starts from the inside. If your staff aren’t happy and dedicated, that impacts the experience they provide to clients. To elaborate, I’m the owner but instead of just being the CEO and owning the company, on the daily I’m a sugarist, just like most of my employees. We all do the same job, so I understand on every level what their struggles are. It forms a much deeper respect between myself and them, since we all share the workload together. I would never ask anything of them I wouldn’t do as an employee myself. This also applies to every aspect of this job; how would I like to be paid? How would I like my schedule to be handled? I make sure the answers to those questions make sense for everyone who works for me. I’ve worked for companies whose upper management never worked in the positions held by entry level staff. When we asked for accommodations that we saw as necessary it was always met with less than understanding. I knew when I formed my business, I would be employee centered and do my best to support them, because that is really how to grow and be successful, as a team.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think what sets us apart from other similar businesses is our collective love of what we do and our ability to trust and lean on one another. We are true team and our clients can feel that energy when they meet us.

I would love to dedicate this shoutout to my team. I am blessed to know and work with these amazing women every day.
