Meet Madeline Ricci | Founder and CEO of multiple businesses

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madeline Ricci and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Madeline, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In 2008 when the Real Estate market crashed, I worked for the corporate of America for 18-years. So when I got laid off like many in the industry. However, I knew an amazing skill set that could fill the holes in an industry that can be serve-centered rather than reactive.
So I decided to go to work right away for myself with the support of my husband and founded BNN Services. My thoughts were just to replace the income that I’ve lost. Never in a million years did I think we would now have an 8-figure business that supports both of our lifestyles provides for 10-in office employees and over 3K signing agents Nationwide.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I will focus on the BNN Services experience because this was my first business venture. However, I knew the industry and had a great deal of passion. I genuinely love serving people. So I’d say servant leadership is my love language.
What sets me apart is that I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and do the work that I expect others to do. I built our model on anticipating potential issues and delivering solutions before they happen. I care about everyone in the transaction, not just my client; therefore, I serve better than most. I get great satisfaction from seeing a transaction through and that the ultimate customer is walking away with s sense of pride and accomplishment.
I am proud of our two daughters and have admiration and respect for both of them.
We are here today because my husband and I are a team and complement each other well. I am a creator, and he is the integrator; together, we’re powerful. It wasn’t easy to get to this point, but we never really looked at it as hard or easy. We knew we were terrific at it, loved what we did, and it never felt hard. I am sure you’ve heard the saying, “when you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.”
The lesson that I’ve learned is that nothing comes easy. If you want it bad enough, you’re going to have to do whatever it takes to make things happen. You’re going to be scared no matter what, so do it, scared.
Our personal brand reflects our business brand. I want to encourage anyone to follow their dreams by putting action behind them. Also, I want them to know that I never looked back when I got laid off from a 6-figure income and 18-years of service. There is a reason why the rearview mirror is narrow, don’t look back. Instead, surround yourself with people that will add value to your dreams, hire a reputable coach that has done it well. There are lots of free resources out there that can get you started. You don’t have to do it alone and remember you’re unique, and no matter how many people are doing what you’re doing, there is enough for everyone, and everyone isn’t your customer.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend is from Miami, so coming to Texas and experiencing what we offer is fun. People often have a miss conception of what Texas is all about. For example, they envision cowboys are running around on their horses. I would start by taking a trip down to Fredericksburg and visiting its well-known wineries. Then, see the City’s German heritage is on display at the Pioneer Museum, which features settlers’ homesteads and artifacts. We would spend two days there, then take her to experience the StockYard in Fort Worth and go to the rodeo, and we might have her wear some cowboy boots. Finally, take her to Billy Bobs so she can do some country dancing; you never know who you’ll run into there, ha! After that, I’d take to Dallas and visit some museums, take her to some of the best restaurants, and try the best BBQ places in the City. If I say so myself, we will hang out at my place, an incredible Oasis.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For starters, I want to thank my husband for his support and unwavering faith in me. He freed me from worrying about not requiring a second income, for his ideas, for having my back even when things got a little crazy, and for jumping in to grow the business as big as it is today. Thank God for giving me the strength and putting so many unknown mentors on my path. I read countless books, listened to podcasts, attended many conferences, and invested in my growth.
