We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleetha Dixon (Lyrical Foxx)and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aleetha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It has always been my personal opinion that some people are natural born workers, natural born hustlers, or natural born entrepreneurs. I consider myself to be all three. The most important aspect of it for me is the desire to create generational wealth and securing opportunities for those I care the most about.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I came from humble beginnings. Just a girl from a small country town in Mississippi. I have always been a lover of all art. Music was always one of my favorites. I learned early on having a positive mindset and intuition is key. You must also be careful of who you surround yourself with..remember not everyone is for you. Iron sharpens iron. Sometimes those closest to you aren’t meant to complete the journey with you and some you have to love from a distance. There were many challenges I had to overcome however I always remained determined and giving up was never an option. I refused to be complacent in the struggle and set goals for myself. The Lyrical Foxx brand is more than a brand to me..it is my love child. I see it as a opportunity to show people it can be done, to encourage people to take chances and go after their dreams, to take every setback and make it a comeback. I remember what my mom and my grandmother used to say..”Nothing beats a failure but a try”. I am currently working on the Foxx Wit Me podcast, my clothing line, and various other projects.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Any where there is good food and music you can find me. I prefer establishments where there is no drama only good energy and vibes. When my friends come out we definitely hitting The Rail Club in Ft. Worth and Orileys in Dallas. We love hip hop/rap but also enjoy a variety of music. We must connect with nature so we definitely pulling up to the lake.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I give thanks to The Most High and my ancestors. I am forever thankful and grateful to my mom Jacquelyn Kyle and my children ShaKiyah and ElDraco. The people who have rocked with me from day one such as Amanda Young, Music Boi Trap, Robi Nickoli’, Leo Lamar, Douglas Elliot, Orileys, Next Level Radio, F.O.G Music LLC..
