We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucero Echevarria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lucero, how do you think about risk?
When I think about risks, I think about a challenge. A challenge that simply put just has to be overcome. I feel if you don’t want or feel like you need to take a risk , then you’ll never know if you reached your full potential or even discovered something new and amazing. Yes, risks could have bad consequences but you shouldn’t let the negative “what if’s “ stop you if the benefits could be rewarding. I always felt that hard work really does pay off and if you had to trust your gut and take some risks along the way well then it’s all part of making your dream a reality then it’s all worth it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I like to think I get inspired by a lot of different things when I want to create an art piece . Usually If I come across something that I’m just in awe with I will try to recreate it and along the way it just becomes something totally different. I will end up adding or changing many things to my point of view as I’m applying my makeup on. Although there are some times I just completely recreate the whole thing and of course I credit the artist who inspired it . But regardless of how I started a piece each make up I do I always but my all into making it come alive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here in our little slice of Texas , there’s a few places to check out. From having an indoor water park day at Epic waters to eating some tasty food & having a couple drinks at Texas Roadhouse. There is plenty to do when visiting. Or if we decide to have a low key day at the park with the kiddos. There’s an pretty cool dream works park that almost looks like a tiny theme park and is totally free! And end the night with some Texas what a burger . From hectic to more relaxed environments a week wouldn’t be enough to show a friend how much fun we could have but we can try!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes , I’m a currently in a PR position with an incredible indie make up company. It’s called Makeupamurder and it’s owned by such a beautiful souled woman named Theresa Spencer. As a small make up influencer I’m over looked by big & small make up companies but she’s not like that. She gave me a shot and never looked back . I been promoting her amazing products and buying myself everything she comes out with because she’s top quality and affordable so I definitely stand behind it 100%. Also my followers get 10% off when they use my code “Foolishhdoll “ so I feel like it’s a win/win situation for everyone. She loves to give back to her PR team and her customers and that’s what I love the most about her way of working .
