We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizna Kabani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lizna, how does your business help the community or world.
2020 has been the most unique yet humbling year yet. When PPE became limited, we stepped in right away to produce and donate masks to the institutions that have a dire need. Now more than ever, we felt that it was our responsibility to give back through what we know. We continue to donate masks through our mask sales.
Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Any business start up has a million lessons to be learned and requires hustle along with constant critical thinking. It has truly not been an easy ride, particularly in times like today where small businesses are impacted more than ever by the pandemic. We are taking the time to rebrand, to cut out the fluff and pivot our business model while trying to stay afloat. I’m proud of this moment where we’ve introduced a product (our fashion mask scarves) to the market in need to help our business stay afloat but at the same time, give back to the community at large.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family deserves the highest honor and credit of all. My husband has every possible motivating word to let me be me, be creative, follow my passion and go out and get it. My children push me to be the best I can be each day and it is because of them that I have to manage my time to the best of my ability.
