We had the good fortune of connecting with Leslie Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leslie, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success behind the chair has been having faith in God no matter how long the days are sometime or how difficult my day has been, his grace makes my job rewarding.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a hairdresser that loves to create very soft and subtle lived in hair color as well as layered haircuts! I’m excited to see how much I can grow in the next few years, I’ve been working behind the chair for almost 3 year this November. It most definitely hasn’t been easy I’ve been dedicated from the moment I realized I had a passion for creating a look for my clients that makes them feel beautiful. I had a mentor in the very early stages of my journey that has guided me and taught me so much behind the chair, she truly has helped shaped me into the hairdresser I am today! Every day that I go into the salon I learn something new I always feel like I can do better than the last time in any way from how I can make my client feel more comfortable to improving a certain technique. The most important thing I’ve learned in my career so far is that nothing is impossible no matter how out of reach somethings can feel sometimes, all it takes is a lot of hard work and faith in God. I’d want the world to know me for my brand and story.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting me from out of town we would start the day off with an early morning hot Pilates class at Align, get a good iced coffee after at La La Land then maybe go do some shopping at NorthPark. Lunch at the mall is absolutely mandatory I love CAVA, then go home and unwind, nap and get ready to go out for dinner at Delucca or Fortune House depends if we’re in the mood for dumplings or pizza. Then end the night with a walk in the city!
