Meet Latavia Taylor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Latavia Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latavia, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My business idea was actually a God idea. In 2020 I began to ask God about my existence here on Earth and letting Him know that I wanted to leave a legacy but also help many others. I then began to write down what would come to my mind, which started off just a little at a time then turned into me having to purchase journals and notebooks to keep up with my thoughts and to do what I called a brain dump. It was in 2022 that God began to download ideas in my time of sitting with Him in the 12am hours and beyond. I literally called them God Ideas as he would give them to me. I would write things down and ask Him if it was something He wanted me to do or just me. He confirmed in His timing and now everything I do I consult with Him and talk through my thoughts with God as well. That’s how it all started and was the beginning of birthing what I do and who I am today.

What should our readers know about your business?
I knew that I was set apart and chosen by God back in 2020 because I questioned God about my existence. Though I loved being a mother along with many other titles I carried I still felt this emptiness inside. I have always loved helping and caring for people and is why I believe I am the mother and Woman of God I am today. I had an inkling that I was different than most based upon the way I thought, spoke and acted. Deep down I knew I was different or had a different spirit like Ruth. Once I asked God about my existence, He began to show me my purpose little by little and moment by moment. I also told Him that I wanted to leave a legacy for my children but also to leave and make an impact in my family, community, and the world across the globe. I soon after began to be invited to speak and lead prayer vigils, women conferences, host my own podcast, women shelters, women bible study, and more. Throughout all these events and times, I was referred to as Pastor, Evangelist, Intercessor, 5-fold, Mighty Woman of God and Apostle. All to my surprise but God know what He’s doing and doesn’t need permission from anyone when he chooses and makes decisions.
As a single parent, after filing for divorce from my children’s father I faced many struggles, difficulties, and hard times but I still wanted to help even when I couldn’t. It would pierce my heart to the core that I was not able to help as I wanted though I knew I simply couldn’t afford to. I was living paycheck to paycheck trying to come up in Corporate America though I continued my education to receive my Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting; it didn’t seem to matter. Once I realized that I wasn’t going to make it as high as I would have liked I began to lose the desire to work in the field I was in. During that time, I also battled with the spirit of depression for many years which initially started when after my decision to file for divorce. It came to the point where I stopped going to work and I eventually became hopeless. That hopelessness then turned into and unhealthy mental mindset which because extremely unstable to the point where I didn’t care about life. I kept reflecting on my mistakes instead of viewing them as life lessons to grow through. All of this caused me to linger in guilty, shame, fear, anxiety, stress, self-inflicted wounds, condemnation, self-pity, and more. I fought hard to get out of the mental state and space I was in, but it wasn’t until I began to hold myself accountable that I was able to come out.
In the year 2020 God told me to write a book for single women to help them through life and show how to overcome life, no matter what. Because as the word tells us we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). God also started giving me God ideas of starting businesses and nonprofits. As He would download information to me, I would write everything down until it became reality by my actions, connections, and prayers. Though it was tough and still is and has taken many years to get my ministry and business started I kept moving and pushing forward along the way. Once I held myself accountable, I had to continue to do that along with surrender fully to God on a daily basis. I also had to and still do pray and pursue personal and intellectual growth mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. It has been very hard but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). My children were my main reason to keep going. God blessed me with them, and I have no choice but to take care of them as He expects and mandates me to. I also had to take medication for a short period of time, attend counseling, have hard conversations with others and my children, ask for help, become a lifelong learner, and grow daily. As long as you’re 1% better daily you will maximize the greatest form and potential of growth. On numerous occasions all I could do was literally cry out to God without saying a word.
Through my journey I have learned that I need God in my life, and I refuse to live without Him or make any decisions without consulting Him and seeking His wisdom, knowledge, understanding, guidance, revelation, and discernment. I want people to know God not me and how He is able to do what needs to be done in your life. Not only that but He is able to bless you beyond your wildest dreams or imagination (Ephesians 3:20). God has transformed my life in many ways and still is and it’s not about me at the end of the day because there is someone out there waiting on me and you to do what God wants us to do, to say what God wants us to say and to go where God wants us to go. God has truly been evident in my life and my relationship with Him becomes more intimate by the day. Every single thing, person, place, trial and tribulation in my life was not wasted one bit. God causes all and everything to work out for your good (Romans 8:28). Never forget that!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I want to give all honor, praise, and glory to my Heavenly Father and His Triune Nature; Father (Abba), Jesus Christ (Son), and the Holy Spirit. God has truly been my all in all and kept me and molded me into the Woman of God that I am today. When I was wayward and living to please people and my flesh I went astray time and time again. But He truly kept me and trained me through trials and tribulations. This testing has transformed me into the bold, strong, and, courageous woman that I AM, now!
I would also like to dedicate my love and appreciation to my 3 sons and their father. They have loved, supported, rooted me on, encouraged, inspired, and pushed me to be the best version of myself that I could be. I’m blessed and grateful to have all four of them in my corner still! JeMere, TeVincent, Jermarcus Jr, and Jermarcus Sr thank you all for the love and patience you have shown me. I truly blessed and appreciative of it all!
