We had the good fortune of connecting with LaRonda James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaRonda, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My faith. My journey and success are deeply rooted in walking out the plans God has for me. I trust Him with my ideas and dreams, and I’ve witnessed Him transform not only them but me into something that glorifies Him. My faith provides the will and drive to purse my goals. God has shown me what success looks like, and through my confidence I know that if I give my effort, and walk with Him, I will succeed. My faith ensures that I won’t give up and that is what truly makes me successful.

What keeps you busy professionally? What are you most proud of? What valuable lessons have you learned, and what do you want people to know about your brand/story?
I consider myself a Jill of many purposes. I am a homemaker, a biblical counselor, a podcaster, a lifestyle vlogger, and a blogger. I wear many hats, and I take pride in my ability to step into various roles and succeed. Last year, I coordinated my cousin’s wedding, my first time in such a role, but I knew I had the skills to pull it off. Just last week, I was the photographer and videographer for my aunt’s wedding. My different experiences have equipped me to take on these diverse challenges confidently.

What I’m most proud of is how I’ve developed and applied my skills over the years, drawing from my knowledge and education. The journey hasn’t been easy. While the work itself wasn’t necessarily hard, the inner work in overcoming personal challenges and releasing my inner potential was demanding. It required peeling back layers and trusting in my faith. I believe that God equips me to withstand any challenge, as long as I keep my eyes on Him and follow His guidance.

I’ve learned valuable lessons along the way. It’s okay to start over, take time to rest, set things aside, and return later with fresh ideas and a new perspective. These lessons have taught me not to feel guilty about beginning again.

What I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that everyone has a purpose. You are meant to live your life boldly and authentically. I strive to represent this by fully embracing who I am, not letting titles define me, but letting Christ’s view of me shape my identity. I walk in the freedom He gives, exploring all the roles I’m capable of. I encourage everyone to live their life in Christ so they can boldly embrace their authentic selves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Brunching is where the fun begins, places we’ll likely go would be Pangea, Yardbird, or Yardhouse. After, we’d probably head over to Bishop Arts to explore the vibrant local scene and check out unique shops, and probably get more drinks. I stay on the lookout for any events hosted by Good Culture because they always bring the best vibes for dancing. I would also take her to Trinity Grove since its kid friendly, and being a mom doesn’t stop even if best friend is in town 🙂 Depending on the season, we might catch a Wings game, a Mav game, or Rangers game. If it’s summer, Six flags would definitely be on the list. We like to hang out at places like Bowl Games, Social house, and Bar louie and there’s no celebration without Karaoke. We would end the week at my church, God’s Exciting Cathedral of Praise for sure okkkk.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to take this moment to shout out Jarmell James, my beautiful husband. He’s the special person who has played a major role in my journey. He has been a constant source of support, encouragement, and uplift. His belief in me and his dedication to walking alongside me through every joyful moment and every challenge has been invaluable. Jarmell is my rock, giving me wisdom, strength, and love when I needed it. His faith has inspired me to keep pushing forward, and his presence has made the journey that much more meaningful. So if you’re reading this boo, thank you for being such a major part of my success and for always being there with a kind word, a helping hand, or a listening ear. Your support has made a beautiful impact on my life. I am deeply grateful for you and everything you have done to help me get where I am today.
