We had the good fortune of connecting with Lambria Tillman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lambria, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When I think about risks I get in a mode like lets do this! Taking risks have been the best decisions I’ve made in my business. Its become an addiction. Its better to take that risk than beating yourself up forever about what you could’ve done, take the risk and succeed or take the risk and learn from your mistakes. Either way is a step forward.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
You know the world is so use to what’s normal, and normal to me; like what everyone else is doing is boring. I like to stand out and be a little different.. ok I’m fabricating,,, I like to be very extra and different lol. I don’t want to be your average nail technician. I like doing extremely long, 3d art, color marbling sets. Like it stands out when you’re out. Everyone is always omg who did your nails, etc. lol. I live for these nail tech stories when my clients come back to my Chair. It’s definitely hard, being around many people who think on a normal level so they don’t realize your vision until everyone else is clapping for you; then they jump on board. Becoming successful its come with pro and cons, its kind of like being a celebrity and you gain a-lot of fans and you also gain a lot of nay sayers. You just have to be prepared for all kind of attention that you didn’t ask for. but ignoring and engaging in the right direction becomes easier along the way. You have to stay true to yourself and your brand or you’ll lose it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Mannnn…we can have us some fun with just each other lol Id have to take them to
-Ruth Chris
-The Library
-Stamp burgers
-the escape room
-gi’s gi’s cupcakes

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow its too many to name. Majority of my credit has to go to my clients. They are my reason. They believed in me when I didn’t even see myself getting big. They will push you. I use to turn down clients and say “I can’t draw that or that’s too advance! just being honest” they replied yes you can just try it ill be your test model to practice on!” and I would be like wow they allowed me to not only practice on their hands but actually still paid me fully and came back again and again. Thats real support so I have to thank Jonnequia, Jasmine, Kadejia, Jada, Sade, Ches, and omg so many more. My father and immediate friends help position me to be able to even service each client so Im definitely thankful for William and Damian. And for the ones who don’t support me, that’s really all the support I need to continue to go extremely hard as I go for my brand.
