Meet Kyle Paris | Real Estate Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Paris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe my success can be attributed to my work ethic. I know that sounds like a pretty easy recipe for success, but when you work for yourself, nobody is lighting a fire under you and telling you exactly what you need to do day in and day out. A lot of people get out of the real estate business because it’s hard, success doesn’t happen overnight, and you have to put in the work. The desire to succeed comes from within you, and I believe that was instilled in me at a young age. I grew up in a very small farming community in Northern Illinois, and you had to work hard for everything. My grandparents were farmers, and I spent many summers with them working their land and using my hands. My parents and grandparents would always tell me that anything worth doing is worth doing right the first time, and that has always stuck with me. I don’t know how to stop until the job is done, and I owe that to my upbringing. We weren’t poor, but we didn’t have disposable income to waste, and if I wanted something as a kid, I had to earn it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My real estate career and successes are a reflection of the relationships I’ve created over my lifetime. I was told at a very young age that your reputation and word are all you have at the end of the day, and to never burn bridges. In every job I have held, I have strived to be easy to work with and exceed expectations, while making other people’s jobs easier. I have a personal philosophy of leaving things better than I found them and not creating more work for others. When you operate in this manner, trust is the result, and that translates into other areas of relationships. Many of the people I’m fortunate to serve in real estate are individuals I met years ago in other roles, but they trust that I’ll do the right thing and work hard to help them achieve their goals. I cannot stress enough the importance of trust when it comes to real estate because huge amounts of money are at stake. It’s an extreme honor anytime someone reaches out to me for help because that means they trust me, and I cannot take that for granted.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would have to start with a round of golf at my favorite local muni, Pecan Hollow. If they’re here for a week, we’d also have time to play The Tribute and the Texas Rangers Golf Club! Other than golf, I love playing pickleball, so spending time at Pickleball Kingdom with friends or Chicken N Pickle would undoubtedly make the list. I’ve always joked that if you like to eat, drink, and shop, the DFW metroplex is the place to be. I enjoy the Legacy West area for shopping, and would probably take them over to NFM and Scheels in Grandscape to see that area. I often think we’re spoiled having stores like this in our backyard, because people travel from all over to shop at these stores. We have many great restaurants in DFW, but at this point in my life, I don’t get out as often. However, if I were to take them to a restaurant, I would definitely recommend Cattleack BBQ, Craftway Kitchen, Local Yocal, Bob’s (Plano), Seager & Son’s, Goodwins, Pillar, Encina, and, of course, MiCo.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I already touched on this a little, but all the credit goes to my parents and grandparents for raising me with the understanding that nobody is going to give you anything in life. When you want something, you have to work hard for it or go without. My parents didn’t spoil me with material items growing up, and I knew if I wanted something, I needed to get a job to pay for it. I’ve been working since I was 14, and I’m not sure I would know what to do with myself if I weren’t working!
