We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Yates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
The most difficult thing is the decision to act; the rest is merely tenacity. Amelia Earhart It is so easy to talk yourself out of doing something scary like starting a business or changing careers. But failure only happens when we quit or fail to act. This quote is a reminder to get up and do the hard things every day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At EBR, we work with both job seekers and small businesses. By keeping active on both sides of the hiring “table”, we also stay current on what works and what doesn’t. What do candidates want? What are businesses looking for in their candidates? We are continuously learning here. It is the only way to stay on top of the industry. We hire employees who are experts in what they do and provide them opportunities to continue to learn and grow in their field. Growth isn’t easy, but we just made it through our five year anniversary earlier this year and hired our sixth employee. We are a group of people passionate about making a difficult process a little easier for our clients. COVID changed the landscape of what our clients were looking for and required a shift in the way we did business, but we made it through with everyone intact.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the group of restaurants that has popped up in The Colony. From Rock & Brew to the Truck Yard, you can find great food and fun.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Irene Little is one of my best friends, and a small business owner herself. We talk almost every day to keep each other going. We act as accountability, cheerleader, and support for each other and I truly don’t believe I would be here if it weren’t for her.
