We had the good fortune of connecting with Krista Streeter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krista, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We had moved across the country from MI to TX with our 3 kids and saw the opportunity for starting an electrical company in our new home town. With Steve already being a Master Electrician and my background and business marketing and management, it was a perfect fit to create something together that could grow as a family oriented business. Our goal has always been to have a work environment that is like a family, honest and open communication, treating everyone as equals and showing our love and respect for one another as we all make up this great team we have built over 10 years!
What should our readers know about your business?
Our business is run by heart. We truly love and pour into our business daily to nurture and grow it just like we would a child. In the early “infant” years, it was a lot of very late nights (sometimes sleepless!), emotional ups and downs, and definitely a huge learning curve as this was new to us. Over those first few years we went to the “toddler” stage where we may have stumbled a bit but our excitement for what we do was strong and we never gave up. Into the “teen” years we are seeing steady growth and responsibility, we are holding our own and while we still may have some growing up to do, we know we are on the right path and looking forward to the future. We have always put our customers first and in everything we do, making sure that we are treating others how we would want to be treated. Safety and Honesty is our motto to make sure we do the job correctly and share with our clients everything we find as electricity isn’t something to cut corners on! A lesson learned is to let your passion show for what you do and to always keep faith!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Granbury is known for it’s lake and historic downtown! I’d love to take my best friend out on our beautiful lake and pull up to Stumpy’s for their great tacos and bakery desserts! Later on that evening, a stroll around our amazing, one of a kind town square where there are so many wonderful spots to pop into, maybe first a glass of wine that is made right there at D’Vine Wine, then over to 1890 Grill for a fabulous Steak dinner, and then to Silver Saddle Saloon for ice cream. Live music is always going on downtown, whether it is at Bob’s Off The Square, Silver Saddle, Farina’s Winery, Christina’s Bistro, Brew Drinkery, or Bull Lion Ranch Shop. I’d also love to come back during the day to shop all our local stores around the square and if it’s during a holiday weekend, enjoy the vendors that always fill in the parking lot around the courthouse and watch the parade. For entertainment there is always shows on the weekend at the Granbury Opera House or Granbury Live Theatre as well as many local artists and spots to visit.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our business wouldn’t be where it is today without our amazing team which we consider family! I’d like to shout out to Kenya, Joy, Cole, Rodney, Kevin, Chad, Taylor, Tristen, James, Stanley, Isaac, Ben, and Steve. Also, our wonderful customers in the Granbury area that continue to support us and refer us to their family and friends.
