We had the good fortune of connecting with King.Kidd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi King.Kidd, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
As a creative the struggle to keep going or quit comes up very often. My whole life and personality is wrapped around being a creative, so I don’t even envision life without being a creative. If that thought ever changes that’s when I’ll know it’s time to quit.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a conscious poet who makes hip hop music with a splash of R&B and pop. I love to uplift, educate, and uplift my fans 1 by 1. What sets me apart is my authenticity and my vision. I’m working to be a household name; from the music, to the fashion (King.Kidd Clothing Brand), and to your tv screens. I’m just getting started!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to Leann Vardiman-Erving, Douglass Elliot (Next Level Radio), Loco Conroe, Valarie Brass (Queens Catering), DJ Tony Snow, Ricky Tha Rapper, Yvette Wilson (Shaded Visions), Duece Freight, J Peace, Garshar Songbird and Dean Manuscript (Tricoastal Radio; Texas Fleet DJ’s) for keeping me motivated, protected, and uplifted while grieving the loss of legendary producer Beatnerd Hub. Having y’alls support has made coming back on scene one of the easiest transitions. I love y’all!
