Hi Keliko, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting a business was pretty simple. It all starts with what are your goals? Once I’ve figured out what my goals were my next obstacle was what can I do to achieve them? Creating a business plan with lists of things I enjoy and things I’m good at while figuring out what can I do to create a business out of it was my final step before committing and starting my new journey!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a Window Tinting shop, my number one priority is to provide the best quality that I can provide while providing a smooth experience from start to finish. Having customers be confident and know what they are paying for is very important to me. I’m most excited to meet potential customers! Everyone has a story and getting to meet everyone and sharing our story is something I look forward to doing. Starting a business out here was nothing like I had expected up to this point. There were so many little things that needed to be taken cared of that I had no idea about. But I’m taking every challenge as a learning opportunity and as a chance to grow as a business owner and as a person. Our business has hawaii roots, I’m born and raised from hawaii so bringing the aloha spirit to anywhere we go is a priority & showing respect and generosity whenever possible is an important factor in creating good relationships with everyone around you!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m new to this area myself but I do have a couple of places I really enjoy going! The trip is starting off with BBQ, it could be a biased opinion because it was my first time having Texas bbq but Lockhart bbq is amazing. I’d probably take them to McKinney and walk around downtown and check out all the shops and just hang out down there it’s a great vibe and so many cool things to see and do! Depending on the time of year but the Texas state fair was really cool! This was my first time going and there are so many good food and things to do there I feel like you may need 2 days to do everything! There are also so many sport events and concerts, I think the things I would want to plan may be longer than a week!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My girlfriend is my biggest support system. She’s always supported me and is there whenever I need her. Whenever I get too stressed out or need to just relax she recognizes those things and will be there to let me know. Especially with this new business, things haven’t been smooth sailing to get up and running but I can always count on her to be there to help me solve problems or to get through the harder moments.
