Meet Kaitlyn Wood | Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitlyn Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaitlyn, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is the way I incorporate result driven treatments, along with relaxation. I believe that making a difference in your skin starts from within. My space is a place where my guests can feel like they are rejuvenated, inside and out. Life can be incredibly hectic and stressful for many, and I like to be able to give my guests an experience in which they can focus on themselves and breathe for a moment, while attaining their skin goals.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Getting to where I have professionally has required a lot of hard work and dedication to my craft. One of the biggest challenges I constantly face is being able to fully trust and believe in myself. This is one of the biggest challenges that I face, because my income is never a guaranteed number. Working in this industry, you constantly have to promote yourself and get excited about the things that you are doing in order to find success. I’m constantly learning, and growing and taking things one day at a time, trusting that I will be okay. This is also why my brand was built on finding self love and acceptance and being comfortable in your own skin.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ll be honest, I’m certainly a homebody. But if one of my closest friends was visiting for some time, I would probably take them to some of my favorite parks. I love this one park in Grand Prairie called Fish Creek Linear park! I’d probably take them to my favorite place to eat, Tons Mongolian Grill. Aside from that, I’d probably show them some of my favorite crystal shops like Soultopia in Dallas, or Hearth Wisdom in Arlington. I also really love all of the art museums in Dallas and Fort Worth and would definitely take them there! Maybe also the Dallas aquarium, which is so cool to walk through. But since I am such a homebody, I would definitely have my friend over for a meal at my place!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people that I could dedicate my shout out to. I wouldn’t be successful without the endless love and support of so many people around me. My family, my coworkers from my previous salon, and many of my past teachers have been such a huge blessing for me and my business. Whether it be in supporting my business, or sending me good energy throughout the past few years. I am so incredibly thankful that they have continuously poured into me and believed in me and my dreams!
