We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitlin Fontenot and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaitlin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business as a means of helping other women launch their own businesses without feeling overwhelmed. My main priority is and always has been helping our clients launch a business without the stress. We handle everything for them so they can get back to what really matters in their everyday lives.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the Lead Designer & Developer at Kait Studio where I work with women from all over the world to launch + scale their digital brands. I began my agency 7 years ago after leaving a beloved career in retail with a laptop, a baby on my lap, and a goal to help women launch online without unnecessary stress.

Over the last seven years, myself and my team have launched over 100 websites on Shopify, Showit, and WordPress as well as numerous courses for clients on Kajabi. Our client roster includes 7 years of working with men & women from the US, the UK, Nigeria, and even Greece. We work with top 1% podcasters, 6 & 7 figure e-commerce masterminds, New York Times best-selling authors, course creators, and some of the most amazing digital gurus we could have ever dreamed of.

It was NOT easy – a consistent effort of showing up on instagram, sharing my knowledge, and networking. I had to take it one hurdle at a time. I’ve learned that you NEED to be approachable, personable, and willing to help and share the knowledge – without fear of giving too much away.

I want the world to know the sky is the limit. Owning a business is not easy but it’s absolutely worth it in the long run.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a total foodie so I would make a master list of all the BBQ + Mexican restaurants I’ve grown to love. Mexican Sugar is a MUST for a fun yet relaxed dinner. I also love Moxie’s in southlake for a delicious cocktail and dessert.

Northpark Mall is the BEST shopping and we also love to grab a lunch to go and sit in Highland Village Park for a beautiful water-side lunch.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I was feeling a little lonely and overwhelmed in business ownership as a creative and mentioned in a facebook group that I wanted to start a group with other women where we could share struggles and insight.

I met Tierra Wilson of lovelyimpact.com and we formed a group of around 12 women. For years, we’ve been there for one another for all across the country to help each other navigate tricky clients, pricing, and answer questions but also show support to each other.
