We had the good fortune of connecting with Josiah Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Josiah, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success is the blessing that our ministry is founded in. Faith and remaining in the purpose of God is essential to the growth and excellence that marks the Endurance Collective. We have always been committed to remaining true to God’s call to make a difference in our community and world. This commitment has always been grounded in excellence, innovation and collaboration. Serving others and making those around us better is a priority that we view as a driving force. We believe that we can make a greater impact when we work together with other leaders, churches and believers for the purpose of making Jesus known. The success of the Endurance Collective brand is successful because it is Kingdom driven and God glorifying.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Endurance Collective is about bringing people of faith together and providing resources to Christian churches and organizations. Our heart is to be a place of connection where value is added to all who participate and attend our events. The collective was started from a place of personal experience. As someone who started a church and experienced the difficulties of building something from the ground up with little resources, the opportunity to connect with others in the faith is crucial! Part of our story is risk and failure and the opportunity of growth that comes from such experiences. Our decision has been to learn from the mistakes and the difficulties we have encountered and simply become better while helping others along the way. That is the heart behind the collective and the encouragement that we gain from trusting God in this calling to serve and help others grow in their callings and faith. Our experiences have made us stronger and has built the endurance needed to carry on the story of Endurance.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I were showing off Fort Worth I would take you to the Fort Worth Stockyards, Sundance Square and maybe even the Fort Worth Zoo. Depending on what is happening at Dickies Arena and Bass Hall we might stop by there as well. In addition to some of the spots mentioned, we would find some outdoor spots to hike, bike or get on the lake. In between the activities, I would stop by some TexMex, Texas BBQ and steakhouse spots around the city! Lastly, I would make sure to take you to an Endurance Collective night of worship!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many that contribute to the success of the Endurance Collective. Its success is solely based on people who value community and see the purpose of connecting people of faith and organizations to provide greater impact in individuals and their organizations. All of these contributors are volunteers who give of their time because they have seen the difference and worth that the Endurance Collective produces.
While many contribute to the cause, Elias Irizarry & Courtney Garcia play major roles in making the collective happen. Elias serves as the Director of Music, working to plan live events, song-writing and recruitment of new band members. Courtney serves as the Executive Director, overseeing all aspects of the collective and its events while contributing to further the vision of the Endurance Collective. The collective doesn’t exist without these two!
