We had the good fortune of connecting with John Teague and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Exercise often. I know it seems like the easy thing to say, but I can honestly attest my best days included a bit of physical activity at the start. When I was in the military, every single day started with a run, pull ups, calisthenics, and push ups. So get to moving.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Between a busy touring schedule, the Teague Brothers Band just finished our 3rd full length album “Wish You the World”. Scheduled to release later in 2024. We recorded it at Edgewater Studios in Sugarland, TX with Producer Derek Hames. The album marks a significant turning point sonically and lyrically for us. The 10 song collection we would consider some of our best work. This doesn’t come of course with its many challenges of building arrangements, nailing our parts, and sifting through a catalog of songs I wrote over the last 2 years. We feel like this one really counts. The last record and EP were done amidst the pandemic. Trying to drum up the funds to hit the studio proved extremely challenging the last few years with the loss of touring revenue. But with all that behind us, we knew this album had to leave no stone unturned and give the listener something they’ve never heard before.

We firmly believe that all things point to the stage, so we invest a lot of time and effort into our live show. We feel like in a world where it’s so easy to disconnect from physical performances, we want to prove to the audience that there is nothing like the experience of a live show from the Teague Brothers Band.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to Mom & Dad. They are unapologetically great people first and second artists and entertainers. They showed me a different way to find satisfaction in life, other than conventional means. Thanks to them I pursue the arts and find great purpose doing so.
