Meet Jocelyn Stuart | Owner: JS Home Editing | Professional Organzier

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jocelyn Stuart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jocelyn, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Over the course of my career, I’ve helped clients eliminate clutter by helping them decide what to keep, pare down, consign or donate, without judgement. Getting to know my clients’ individual wants and needs is essential. My clients have included actors, producers, single moms, families who just moved or are moving, empty nesters, the list goes on and clutter doesn’t discriminate. My ability to ease stress and create balance in my clients’ homes is what I believe that being a professional organizer is all about. By helping people improve their lives and the lives of their family members is my success. Every client is unique and it is my job to help them achieve their goals by figuring out who they truly are and what they care about and, once I’m gone, I want my clients to be able to maintain the systems and solutions I’ve put in place.
Staying organized is a lifestyle goal that may never be one and done, but reaching for it can literally be life-changing.
“Being organized brings balance and calm to your home.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Back in 2006, when we were purchasing a new home, I hired a fantastic interior designer to help me bring my vision to life. In working together, she was curious who kept our house so organized. She asked me if I’d be interested in helping her clients as a professional organizer, and thus a career was born. She hired me for multiple jobs which led me to start my own business and, since that time, I’ve devoted my life to helping others to get organized.
I absolutely love what I do. Working hard and being entrepreneurial has always come naturally to me. My clients have impacted me greatly throughout my career. They’ve inspired me to take risks and pursue my dreams and I’m incredibly grateful. I thrive on learning new ideas and I’m constantly searching for new products to improve the lives of my clients as well as finding local consignment vendors and charities that accept donations.
Growing my brand, online and social media presence has been an exciting challenge. I’ve been introduced to some amazing people who have helped me up my game and strengthen my business overall.
I am also inspired by my family each and every day. I am a loving mother of two boys here in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Being a mom I know what a constant struggle it is to be organized and stay organized. While it comes naturally to me, I cannot say the same for the other members of my family. If you are anything like me, you are always looking for fresh ideas for keeping your family, home and routines pulled together.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a small business owner living in the South Bay, we have fantastic things to explore right here in our backyard. Supporting locally-owned businesses is important to me.
When friends visit, I love to take them to the Ozzie-owned “Gum Tree” Cafe for flat white and avocado toast. They also have an excellent retail shop with a terrific selection of apothecary and kitchen-goods for when you’re looking for that perfect gift.
For a great local meal, I can’t leave out my favorite dinner spots: Bettolino Kitchen and Gabi James. Delicious!
I also love taking my friends to Terranea Resort on the dramatic cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. The views are breathtaking and so is their wine selection

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
