We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Rebekah Cone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura Rebekah, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Every business success is measured differently. Some are looking for increased exposure, others for views of their content, but at the end of the day most are looking for some type of conversion. For us that conversion looks like signing up a new client.
But is that true success? We realized it is more than that. Conversions into clients or sales of a product are our secondary success metric.
The first? The deep sense of fulfillment and the most important factor behind this is service. Serving our clients, serving others by providing free information and help through our platform, and being involved in the lives of our employees and our community.
Our motto is YOU impact the world, WE amplify that impact. This means we are not just transactional in our work with our clients, but we serve them like they serve their clients, beneficiaries, donors, supporters, and customers. This gives us fulfillment in the work we do and by that alone gives us success.
This mindset shift changes our perspective from being contractual to being a partner for change..
How does this impact our brand? When a client looks at us as a partner, they see a friend. What do you do with friends? You promote them, you tell other people fun stories about them, and you support them.
By building our brand in this way we have been able to grow our company through client referrals primarily, which confirms that when we serve our clients rather than just work for them, we develop relationships that go beyond the act of work itself.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Over 5 years ago my husband and I decided to do things differently. We were tired of the 9-5 rat race and wanted to be the captains of our own ship! Because of his experience working at Facebook, we started working to serve those we know with digital marketing and I immediately knew this is what I was going to be skilled at! We decided to start our own company and we haven’t looked back since.
Cone Creatives has been in business for 4 years! The road is never easy as an entrepreneur but I am most proud of the fact that we KEEP GOING! After every valley there is a peak, and you must learn to not give up but to push towards the peaks to enjoy the view. We didn’t give up and we pushed to keep our business going and it has been such a huge blessing. The ability to help people and to make an impact on our community has been great. We love sharing tip and tricks on our socials to help other businesses with marketing.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dallas is an amazing city with some amazing places to visit. We do have visitors and love grabbing some scooters and take them to deep Elum to check out the shops and local restaurants. For lunch take them to Canes Rosso for the Honey B$%*#@rd Pizza (Don’t knock it till you try it) and Burrata. We also love Mike’s Fried Chicken and Jack’s Burger House.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Preston Cone is one of the kindest and most generous people that I have had the pleasure to work with and I truly love working daily together.
He has had some of the most amazing experiences and dedicates himself wholeheartedly to each and every client we have. He makes the company the best it can be and encourages our employees to keep bettering themselves and helps them in any way he can.
He is the type of CEO you want to work for and with because he will lead you and your business to success with integrity.

This was done by our design team for our socials. Thought it would be a great way to share what we do.
