We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Anyanwu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My work life balance has changed quite a bit .When I first started my business I was a wife and mother to two beautiful children. Five months into starting my business I found out I was expecting my daughter. Balancing work and family can be a juggling act but by setting realistic expectations, routines and learning to give myself grace I’ve managed to not only maintain my customer base but expand my services.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a independent licensed esthetician, who is passionate about helping my clients achieve their skincare goals . I offer a variety of facial treatments using only quality professional pharmaceutical grade products that incorporate natural ingredients that work to restore balance and provide protection for all skin types. I cherish establishing deep connections with each of my clients . My facial treatments will leave your skin feeling refreshed. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would recommend staying at the Adolphus Hotel. It has a great aesthetic, they also host different events located on the rooftop of the hotel. Pamper sessions are a must at Spa Adolphus getting facial treatments and massages are a great way to relax. It would not be a trip without a visit to the art district. I recommend checking out the Dallas Museum Of Art, and the Perot Museum Of Nature and Science . You can’t go wrong with reservations for dinner at XOXO Dining Room or brunch at Dahilia Bar & Bistro.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a huge thank you to my husband Mr. Anyanwu who has supported my dreams from esthetician school to the opening of my business. I would also like to shout out Tonya H. CEO and founder of Isociety Cosmetics she has been a wonderful business mentor to me. Lastly, I would like to thank Brynna, owner of 7esthetics skin studio for supporting me in the beginning of my career and inspiring me to keep chasing my dreams.
