We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenn Henricksen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenn, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My priority has always been my family. I truly believe that I was meant to be a mother and a wife/partner with someone. I met my late husband when I was only 18 and we spent nearly 17 years building the most amazing life with our 4 kids with the 2 of us leading the way. He worked in Law Enforcement and I have worked in the Real Estate industry my whole adult life. Unintentionally he and I always put the family first and career second and in doing so created a home life that made us happy and content. That settled feeling spilled over into our careers and we naturally became more successful there because we had so much success at home. Both of our fields can be very demanding and it wasn’t always easy but we somehow managed. Our motto was simply work to live not live to work.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my career in Real Estate when I was only 19 years old as an office assistant. I learned from some of the most top producing agents on what to do to be successful and also what not to do. When I decide to go into sales and take my career to the next level I knew that the relationships that I had cultivated over the years were exactly where I needed to start, Something I have always prided myself on is my ability to build trust with people. In my career I come from a place of service. Im not just assisting someone on the buying or selling of their home. I am helping someone make one of the biggest financial decisions in their life. That starts with trust. I give my clients, who almost always become friends, one hundred percent undivided attention, clear open communication and I am there for them not only throughout the transaction process but for whatever they may need even after closing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in a suburb outside of Dallas we are so lucky to have so many fun places to visit. My favorite restaurant for a fun upbeat evening is probably Marty B’s. From there we would head over to Lakeside for yummy drinks and corn hole on the sidewalk outside of The Tavern.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have 2 shoutouts for sure, The first being my family, namely, my kids, They have always been my biggest fans and have supported me and encouraged me to shoot for the moon. My second shout out is my amazing friend Zanna who without her support I may not have ever taken the leap into sales in Real Estate which in turn catapulted my career and opened up so many new relationships. She has always been my biggest cheerleader and I absolutely adore her for it.
