Meet J/O/E .: Hip Hop Artist, Influencer, & Craft Beer Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with J/O/E . and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi J/O/E, have you built meaningful relationships at networking events? What makes you want to connect with someone, and what are things people do that make you want to steer clear?
I usually start with personality. I definitely want someone I can get along with. What drives this person? Can I help this person as much as they can help me? Can we both grow and expand? These are just a few questions I ask myself upon meeting someone at an event. If those questions cant be answered then I usually avoid that person or group.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Hip Hop Music is my passion. Something that Ive obsessed over since a teenager. Studying and learning how to write and get my ideas out over instrumentals is not easy but the drive I had at that time was very high and I was very determined to learn & advance. What makes me different from the majority is I don’t have a set style. I switch up the music every time. I also apply my favorite things into music such as Craft Beer. Im proud that I’m accepted in both the hip hop & craft beer community. Working with anything you love is always a major bonus. Ive learned to be patient. Art isn’t anything that should be rushed or you could taint your efforts. Never give up. The more you put in then the more results you get back.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m out in Southside Fort Worth, TX. You definitely gotta visit the craft breweries and stack up on some goodies to take back home. If beer is not for you then you can go catch a vibe at Sundance square downtown. The water gardens is not far from there too. Its a chill place to hangout on a nice day. Magnolia street is cool. Has a hipster vibe with a stretch of bars & great restaurants. Usually there are events and such going on. The whole city is pretty cool. It mainly really depends on who you are hanging out with. Come find me and ill make sure you have a great time.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Friends for sure! Definitely wouldn’t be very far without them. Amazing people all with skills. Milky Beatz(Producer), A.C.O(Producer) , Kinky K(Photography), Lazytapez(DJ), Jeff Wood(creative director at Rahr & Sons) and the whole Outsiderz Klub collective. All these great people helped me get to the next level and we still on our way to the top.
